Default Astral traveling in spirals

For many years I have experienced a strange phenomena that I could describe as "travelling in spirals". The first time I ever experienced this I went to the doctor to get my ears checked, thinking it could have something to do with the inner sense of balance, but the doc said I was fine.

This is how I describe the experience: it usually happens when I'm laying down, it can be just before I get sleep or just whenever I feel relaxed or tired or while doing meditation. What I feel is my physical body going round in circles, more like a spiral that never ends.

I have proven that all along the experience I am conscient of whatever surrounds me while this happens and I can even keep a normal conversation and describe my experience to someone else meanwhile.

I don't want to give more deatails about it so far because I would like to hear about other people's experiences first, but in forthcoming comments I can describe the experience in detail and how it developed in my life.

If you have a similar experience can you please answer to these questions?

1-How the experience starts (first simptoms and feelings)?
2-How it gets developed?
3-How and when it comes to an end?
4-Can you control it or start it by will?
5-How long it takes?
6-Which was the most extreme experience you had of this kind?
7-How do you feel about it?

I have never heard of anybody else talk about an experience like this and I would be very glad to hear about it because I image I must not be the only one going through this peculiar experience.

when i was a kid i as i was trying to fall asleep once in a blue moon i would feel like i was getting 'dizzy' and would see things infront of me start to spin but i wouldn't let it spin too much.. i think i would stop it by awakening myself a bit more .. and eventually i would just fall asleep.

i have no idea what this is.. i just linked it with being tired.. and i did feel weird about it but it only happened to me a handful of times -- what bugged me more is when i thought i saw the wall moving.. or breathing..
