(I just posted in another area but noticed that since it was also concerned with channeling that it may be more appropriate here since channeling was listed as a topic.) I want to add some of the books that Steve has recommended. Ask And It Is Given by Esther & Jerry Hicks really looks very interesting. I went to their web site and got even more interested relative to the wisdom that seemed to eminate from their written and verbal content. The only thing that I am having trouble with is accepting the channeling of Abraham through Esther. Can anyone recommend this book or is their newest one - The Law Of Attraction better ? Also, how do I get past my hang up about channeling ? |

I'll be honest, I'm a psychic medium and I was still skeptical of Esther Hicks and her channeling of Abraham. Until I saw her in person at the I Can Do It! Seminar put on by Hay House. I sat down thinking it was going to be very hokey and maybe religious or something, but I was so blown away by what I saw. She spoke for a full hour with Abraham channeling through her. She did not pause, she did not "um" or "and so" or use bridge words common to people collecting their thoughts. she was just off and running and never stopped. She never tripped over a single sentence, and I was watching for it! I thought to myself, "Either she memorized an ENTIRE 1 hour speech word for word and never had to pause to remember what to say, or she really is just channeling the info from Abraham." Then she took questions for 1 hour and I saw the same thing happen. No pauses, no thinking, no collecting of thoughts as people asked her a question. No one speaks like that. I also didn't sense she was present. I definitely sensed another being present with her. Really, it was amazing and made a believer out of me. I was stunned by what I saw. I even told my friends that if she wasn't really channeling an otherwordly energy, it didn't matter, because what she had to say was wonderful!! |

Hi Don! Just a couple of days ago I finished Jerry & Esther's second book "Deliberate Intent". I have to say that I preferred "Ask & It Is Given". I really thought book #2 took some basic concepts from book 1 and gave them a bit of a new twist. I'd suggest that you at least START with "Ask"...then move on if you like. A great book source (in case you don't know) is http://www.zooba.com All books are $10 and shipping is free. Cheers! |

I'm actually very interested in Channeling. I myself have had some very weird "Who exactly is doing the talking?" moments. I'm actually just as surprised at what will come out of my mouth as anyone around me. I have a dead confidence about me and whatever I say is usually so indisputably true that it chills people. Granted I can't do it at will, or relax into a sort of trance state, but it's always a great experience when it happens. It's odd. Not having a thought or idea in my head, or even a passing knowledge about the answer to the question, and giving such a complete uninterrupted response. I often stutter or repeat things when I'm talking and excited, but that dead confidence mode is when people really seem to listen. |
