Hello, this is my first thread. My name is Pamela and I am 27. I am posting here to find information on my family's abilities. I am an empath and clairsentient, a very underdeveloped one though. As a child I couldn't handle it so I turned it off. To my dismay I am having trouble turning it back on. Part of the reason I am struggling with this is because of my mother's gifts - they're quite scary. Aside from being a child that was overwhelmed with others emotions, I was afraid to pursue my abilities in fear that I would see something. This still frightens me. My mother sees spirits, demons, angels, orbs, lights, auras, has dealt with physical attacks from the other side, and seems to run into every wiccan, satan worshiper, and emotional disturbed person in a hundred mile radius of where she is at that point in time. She also has teleknesis that seems to out of her will to control - which made for an interesting childhood. Both my mother and I are christians and this seems to be a blessing and at the same time frustrating in regards to the abilities that we posess. Having God on your side to back you up is always a positive, however, the church itself seems to for the most part ignore this area or write off as demonic. I see these abilities as gifts from God given to us for a purpose and would like to use them to help others. Are there any others like us who have some helpful advice or knowledge?

Pamela, each person is on a personal path of self-discovery. It takes courage to learn to face the unknown in ways that don't minimize or remove your personal power. Your journey will not be exactly the same as your mother's experiences. Your spiritual path offers opportunities to explore your own personal judgments, assumptions and fear-based beliefs. As you raise your awareness, you get-to-know and heal yourself and also empower others. It appears you believe your path hinges on serving others. You decide how when and with which techniques and from whom you will learn them.

It can help to create a journal in which you describe what you believe is happening to you. Step back to take note of your opinions, judgment and other points of view. What others may describe about you won't necessarily be the same as your view. People learn a lot by using this technique for dream analysis as well. When spirit communicate through dreams, this adds dimensions and layers of complexity, but they are nothing to fear.

I like to recall a quote by Mother Teresa, "God would never put us in a situation he didn't think we could handle...sometimes I just wish he didn't trust me so much!"

People have a tendency to forget, or even don' t realize, protection is needed from the physical as well as the none physical. Since you're Christian, the Lord's Prayer is an excellent choice to use. I don't know if you meditate or have tried meditation, but saying the Lord's Prayer before meditation is recommended as well. If you sense/see a presence you're not sure of, ask them to identify themselves or ask them if they are beings of God or of light. If they answer no or won't identify themselves, then if you want to, you can tell them to leave. Just because we have abilities doesn't mean we have to accept everything that comes through to us. Hi Pamela.

The reason someone experiences these phenomena is because a portal to their subconscious has been opened (this can happen in a number of ways, both accidental and deliberate) and there is a bleed-through into their reality.

If you want to open that portal, that is up to you.

If you leave it open, then you will have to take the good with the bad. There is nice stuff in there and a whole load of nasty stuff as well. You are basically opening yourself up to mass consciousness – all the thoughts, emotions and illusions of mankind are there, both the angels and the demons.

To withstand the bad stuff, you will need to be very strong spiritually.

However, you can still live a good, spiritual, fulfilling life without having to develop your psychic abilities. You don’t need to have that portal open.

The question I would ask would be - what would be the true value to me and my loved ones if I opened that portal; what are my true motives?

If you are a Christian, what answer do you think Christ would give you?

Hi! I have experienced beyond the veil as well, although not quite as you describe your experience, and I can relate to not fitting in "the church" , you also mention "having God on your side", I tend to phrase it as " having a christ consciencessness" being of "one mind" also the church tends to see God as outside , heaven as a place you go to when you die.... I see God through my christ consciencesness inside... heaven is experienced internally , and flows outward.... truth is I am far to motivated to sit in a church pew each sunday and get fed the word of God over and over and do nothing with it...... I go to church and I get upset, because i want to shake everyone awake lol , it is like i want to say !!!" get up- get moving," activate your inner power get out of your apathy !!

I have never seen an aura, or a demon, but I have experienced a physical sickness around certain personality types, I've also met people for the first time and had a wonderful experience of peace come from up inside of me, like my soul was kissed.... and my spirit put at ease... these are wonderful short encounters ... I cherrish them

as for gift, I'm not so sure gift is the best descriptive, because i think we all have this ability , to see beyond the conceptual mind veil ... some are just more developed then others thats all..... and this is for the benefit of all people, to help each other , to implement a world as Christ saw , a world beyond prejudice and malace and all the pretenses that hinder us and effect our quality of life

I am a very visual person, so I often see the written word in visual images
ie) where Christ says " The field is ripe the workers are few", follow me,

I see an image of these words, these words litterally become a picture imprinted , so i see Christ in the field and his motioning me to follow....

then the picture is gone, it comes like a flash, like a mini movie.... I've on a few rare occasions seen things happen before they happen, this has just happened, i did not seek it , or anything like that it just happened ... but I have so many questions like you , what am i suppose to do with this??

for example the night prior 911, I in a dream , saw the old testement prophet Daniel sitting in a stone tower locked in chains, rocking back and forth suffering mentally believeing he was going insane , from the visions he was recieving from God...

so again scripture became visual , ( like a vison perhaps)

I have thought to about you said about the church and these abilities. I don't go to church anymore but I am more spiritual than ever before. I also believe that we experience God (I call it "universal consciousness") inside of us. ( I have to agree with what Old Soul said) I am clairsentient, clairvoyaint and clairaudient. I ignored my intuition for most of my life until recently when I had an experience that was undeniably clairvoyant and I couldn't ignore it any longer. It was almost like someone in the universe was screaming at me to pay attention to my gifts. Now that I am focusing more on trusting my intuition, I am having more experiences and I seem to be growing stronger in my abilities. Sometimes, I'll be having a very clear clairaudient experience - it's almost like I tuned into some radio station out in the universe and I just have to say "please tone it down"... or I'll say, "this is not a good time" and it fades away. If you put out the request the spirits will listen.

Hello , just curious to know if since your gift has developed , do you have very symbolic dreams? I can not believe the dreams that i have now... they are totally of a new caliber for me

Hi! I haven't actually been able to remember my dreams lately. And I usually remember my dreams. I want to try lucid dreaming but right now I"m focusing on being more in contact with my spirit guides and listening to them.

Actually since I was little I remember being able to predict things and I remember once leaving my body and looking down at myself sleeping. (this happened when I was 11 years old) Three days before 9/11 I had a very vivid dream that something terrible had happened that shocked the country - I thought it was an earthquake. I also accurately predicted the death of my best friend's brother, 1 month before it actually happened.

I've only started developing my abilities about 3 weeks ago. It started after I had gotten off work and had a vision of a dear friend of mine who had gotten pulled over by the cops ( in the vision I was my friend) 5 minutes later, I turn the corner and pass by a cop who I didn't see until I had passed right in front of him, he pulled me over and gave me a ticket!!!

I am just mainly learning to trust my intuition, so if I hear something from my guides, I listen. And it seems my experiences are increasing and I'm becoming more accurate. Now 90% of the time, I'll think of someone and within 3 minutes they call, or I will think of a subject in my class and the teacher will start talking about it.

It's exciting!!
