Here is some more description of a vision (it sounds more like a common vision the more I read) from an experienced DMT tripper, Terence Mckenna. YouTube - Terence Mckenna DMT trip explained Quote:

| I agree with basically everything Rogan says. Especially about DMT being a gateway of sorts to your third eye, and the hypocrisy of the government allowing some drugs and making others illegal. Also, especially what he says about bad trips @ 2:40. I haven't tried DMT personally, but after reading up on it I would tend to believe that the experiences described are real. Whatever "real" means when you shatter the barriers of normal reality, anyway. |

Joe Rogan is very good at presenting these ideas in a way that appeals to his audience. The same ideas (in fact, I would guess is the source of Joe's information) are presented by the late Terence McKenna and also through the studies conducted by Dr. Richard Straussman as he describes in his book DMT:The Spirit Molecule. But it's good that someone is keeping these ideas fresh and alive. Yes, this was experienced in the 60's, but it wasn't handled well. The times at hand are different. Not to mention that DMT (and a substance with similar effects - Salvia Divinorum) are quite unlike LSD. Experimenting with our consciousness is a natural desire that will never end. We just need to learn from past mistakes and use these substances for their benefits, and not to our detriment. More and more people are approaching entheogens in this way as evidenced by conferences such as the recent World Psychedelic Forum. Governments need to recognize this as a legitimate pursuit. |
