just saying hello!
and starting off with my first question.
i'm really hesitant to play with anything paranormal because of things i have read and experienced in the past.

one thing that happened to me that i would like to know what it is, is that when i was about 15 (i'm guessing this was during my time of heightened awareness) i was walking down my stairs at around.. 11am.. my house was quite bright as it was sunny outside and my head was cleared of any thought.
all of a sudden this translucent hand popped infront of my face from out of the wall. it had no colour, just the outline with long nails. i blinked thinking it was just in my head and usually stuff goes away but it didn't and it wasn't completely still, it was moving slightly, as if it were alive.
anyway after i blinked and it was still there i threw myself against the opposite wall and it was gone.
i didn't tell anyone as i was afraid of my active imagination taking over if i focused on it so i kept quiet. about 6-8 months later my dad brought home a sketchbook for me and my sister wanted to draw on the first page. she came back, with a portrait of me and a cartoon bubble with the same hand and long nails in it!! i freaked out and told her the story so she erased the picture and replaced it with 'happy things'.
as you can see i never forgot it and as much as i'd like to work on my spiritual quest i'm weary because of this incident, and other things i come across when i try and do any research.
alright. i'll publish this before my computer freezes again..

i have asked different people what they think and i've come across different answers.
1. 'they need you to cross them over' -- this seems very popular on tv right now so i admit i'm skeptical
2. 'long nails = dead body' .. .. that left me creeped out.
3. 'you weren't supposed to see that, it was a mistake.'
4. no answer (silence).

I'm not sure what that was....I'm 15, I never get to see hands...I see flashes of light alot, coinicendce?

I don't know I'll look into it.

oooo flashes of light... what shapes?? i do too sometimes.. but i don't know if its light or just 'white' but faded..

umm shapes? umm sphere, once.
Oh! and a rectangle of blue transperent. Kinda like when you watch a movie and the black bars, but only the bottom one, and blue transperant, Blue aqua.

going back on topic of the initial question i suppose i could provide more background as to why the hand became more important:

One day my mother told me her grandmother used to see hands in this old town they lived in in Malta, which apparently was extremely haunted for a while. She couldn't tell me any details of the hands, she just said she spoke of seeing hands. They mostly took care of this old 16th century chapel and lived above it and my greatgrandfather had this huge fear of fire, something I was afraid of since I was little too, for no logical reason. So I thought when I returned to Malta I had to go back to this chapel (I was there when I was little). So the opportunity came and I wandered over there with my little cousin. I had been warned it would be locked as its privately owned and not open to people anymore, but when I went the door was open, so I went in. there were cobwebs so I could tell no one had been through in a while and as I was just standing there with my cousin I started seeing a very faded white (or light?) shape of some sort forming infront and above me. I freaked out because I just don't understand what it is or what it will be or if its anything to begin with (the chapel was not dark but there was no direct sunlight in it) but I turned away in fear. Turns out the chapel should have been locked, as my mother knew the neighbour and had asked her and she had said the owner hadn't come into town for a while so there was no way it would be unlocked.

ok basically, I'd like to know if this hand was negative in any way. it didn't come across as negative, but it looked threatening because of the long nails. Unless that's how long people's nails grow when they die (I'm completely unaware as to how long they do grow) then I guess I saw a deceased person but I've been reading through blogs and such I don't seem to find any sort of answer to this incident. No one ever mentions ghosts having long nails.. so I don't understand -- had it been without the nails I would have just assumed it was a deceased person..

The hand may have signifigance - it may be that this person needs to communicate something. It may be useful to find a medium who is able to communicate with this spirit - who might be trapped here for some reason. If they are able to communicate their problem they may be able to move on.

well this was a while back, its almost around 10 years or so.. but the whole chapel thing was a couple years ago. would they stick around?
also, how can i tell if something is a threat? would i automatically feel something unnerving? would this be possibly something that's not human (the long nails) ...
