House Cleansing

Curious to hear all house energy cleansing rituals people know of. I have heard of and used burning sage as well as using salt water misted around the house, interior & exterior.

I have a house we purchased so we could have access to our land locked land. We discovered after the fact the owner was a pedophile. Abused his own daughters and was run out of the neighborhood when he went after a neighbors child. We never lived there but rented it out for a short time while we subdivided a driveway to our land and are now trying to sell the house. Something is just not right in the house. Even with new paint, our furniture to stage it, its just not right.

I haven't tried it myself, but I have heard from others who have tried Karen Kingston's Space Clearing methods on their homes with positive results.

Her expertise lies in clearing the negative energy out of homes & offices etc with the use of incense & bells. The best results would be to use one of her fully trained practitioners, but it is possible to do it yourself. You can get more info in her book Creating Sacred Space with Feng Shui.

First of all make sure there is no clutter in the house.Wash every surface in the house with a product called 4 thieves vinegar. From top to bottom and back to front. Throw the waste water out the front of your property towards the road.
Get some Holy water from the local Catholic church and going through each room reciting psalm 23,the lord is my shepherd, and make the sign of the cross or pentacle on each window and door of each room. Then ask that only positive energies are welcome. Burning sage in each room at the same time as well, as the nasties will run as quick as they can when this is done.

Cleansing the house is a touchy thing - if it's just negative energies and bad memories these will probably work. If this mans behavior brought in more than negative energies and memories you may have a problem on your hands. A lot of times performing a cleansing ritual will anger entities if they are present. This would obviously cause problems that may lead to an exercism. I would look into the nature of that energy before doing your cleansing ritual.

I agree with pamelajbelter. For cleansing a home or other venue, you need a sense of the source or nature of the disturbance in order to take appropriate steps. There may be more history to this house than is assumed.

just read your post and I hope these things help.

The first basic step is to clean the house thoroughly physically. That doesn't mean a dust and a polish, that means a thorough top to bottom clean. If anything unpleasant is anchored there it needs to be disrupted and the patterns that it hangs around re-configured. There is nothing more powerful than your intention so you need to be clear about what you're doing, your reasoning and so on before proceeding. Anything that hangs around there of the homunculous order loves dirty corners, dust and physical detritus so you need to banish that from the place.

It depends on your personal technologies, which I don't know, but you can also check the electro magnetic frequencies of the plot itself for things like ley lines, disturbed energy patterns and so on. As I say, it is dependent upon the skills and experience you can bring to bear upon this. If a particular flow has been interfered with then it is entirely possible that whatever previous occupants have responded to has been subliminally influenced by that. So you're looking to establish order and harmony within the micro-ecology of the buiding and its environs. To achieve this you may care to, if you don't do these things already, look at dowsing, the use of pendulums and attuning your own personal sensitivities.

Look to the building location and any building materials that may have a disruptive influence, are there concentrates, for example, of lead, copper or zinc? Where does the water flow to and around the property, are the electrics in the house sound (meaning its wiring and mains electricity)? Are there any obvious physical anomalies or oddities about the property? If you detect any possible source of dischord in any of these areas then address it first.

How is the house and its land laid out? Do its gardens need manicuring or a major overhaul, you may want to study herbalism and the concept of particular plants anchoring particular frequencies. Lavender, for example, has a very cleansing nature and generous plantings of lavender anchor a particular healing and cleansing frequency. As indeed does chamomile. To generate an energised and clean frequency you may even consider, circumstances, budget, time and so on permitting, keeping a bee hive at the bottom of the garden. Bees themselves generate a powerful cleansing and disinfecting energy into a district and their activity in a garden will regenerate the energies there.

The cleansing aspect itself. Before you begin, your mental address is critical so you need to cleanse yourself at the level of your mind. Rationalise what you are about to do, call it over to yourself and have a form of words that can be your 'touchstone' throughout the cleansing process. Something like:
Chaos and discord now depart
Cleansing is a healing art

You can compose your own form of call over but it needs to resonate with you and your intention.

Take onions, plenty of them. Chop them finely and place them on plates, perhaps a handful on each one and position them in each room in the house. Places where you think there are strong patterns you want to disrupt put them in each of the corners of these rooms. Leave them for a few hours, overninght if it's practical. Onions, like all members of the garlic family, are highly absorbent and cleansing, they're healthy to eat for inner wellbeing, excellent anti-oxidant propoerties, and likewise they perform that function in the atmosphere. The onions will absorb the coarser frequencies there. (This is the origin of the garlic and vampires stuff that's seeped into the world courtesy of Christopher Lee and the horror movie industry).

When you gather the onions get rid of them, straight in the waste, have no emotions about this, just get rid of them.

Then you'll need a bell. A handbell. In England we used to have bells in the schoolyard to summon all the kids into lessons. One of those is ideal. To do this job thoroughly you'll need two bells, more on that later.

Open the windows in the house insofar as it is practical, try for at least a window in each room. Take your bell and plan a clockwise route through the house, move around each individual room clockwise too. Find the eastern corner of the house and start there. Ring the bell fairly vigorously, remember your call over, and proceed with a steady firm pace throughout the house ringing the bell as you go.

Create an irregular rythym, not a tolling, not a beat but a sequence of unconnected rings. Hold the bell in your positive hand, that's right in a man, left in a woman. Ring the bell at varying heights from your head down to the extent of your arm's lower arc as you go. The reason you are doing this is to break up any lingering patterns or frequencies. Be sure to get into the corners and give a good clear ring in those places. Anywhere that seems neglected ring with a strong intention that you are asserting a new order and frequency to this place and anything inappropriate has got its marching orders. It has to be done this way or you endorse establishing 'victim' patterns in the electro magnetic resonances of the place.

As you go through the house you should hear the note of the bell changing and becoming clearer. It's resonance will alter slightly and you will hear its timbre become more pronounced. Remember that change is antithetical to grubby or coarse frequencies, particularly where humans are gathered and allow those things to become established. What you are doing is breaking down systematically whatever the previously dominant frequency may have been.

Next you follow your course through the house with clapping. Trace the same route as you did with the bell but clap this time. (Oh yes, as you're belling and clapping visualise anything that is below the standard you are looking to assert flying out of the open windows as if it were smoke or a bad smell). To clap you can either use yur hands or make a clapperboard from two pieces of wood, let's say 12"x3" with a hinge at one end of the two narrower edges and a handle of some sort so you can clap the boards together. Same method as the bell, irregular rythym, clockwise, special care of the corners and dingy places.

The next level is the disinfecting frequency. You'll need an incense burner - on chains preferably that you can swing. Charcoal tablets to burn incense on and for this part you'll need an incense called 'Basillica'. Heat your charcoal tablet until it starts to glow, a gas ring flame is best for this. Blow the tablet, away from the flame, and it will glow red or amber when it is ready.

Place the tablet in the burner. Swing it gently in clockwise motions. Get yourself to your start point. Take a teaspoon full of Basillica and spoon it onto the tablet. It will start to smoke heavily so you'll need to have disabled any smoke alarms if the palce has them. Move briskly through the circuit you have established and filling the building with incense. Keep in mind what you're doing and why you're doing it. Have a bowl with water in to pop the charcoal in when you have finished incensing the building or it will smell of the charcoal.

When you complete this you will have a house that is in something akin to shock, this will not have happened in it before and so a whole completely different note has been struck within the place.

Move through the place and register whatever is going on, expect nothing and pass through objectively. Register what catches your attention, if anything.

That's the first stage, blasting out.

Next you want to introduce a frequency to overlay what was there and to set the tone of what you want to be there henceforth.

For the next stage you'll need another bell but this one will have a more delicate tone, the more refined the better. This one is for sealing in as opposed to blasting out.

Have a different call over for this stage, you might want to try something like:
All that is fine now appear
Know that you are welcome here

You are inviting a particular frequency that is the antithesis of what you have driven out so you need to be clear about what it is you want to see established in there.

For this you will need another incense, for this process I would recommend one called 'Sanctuary'. Same as Basillaca to set up but this time you're moving anti or counter clockwise. Same route but different rotation. Start again in the eastern corner of the house and move with a different intensity this time. You're not driving things away now, rather you are drawing them in.

Once you have incensed with Sanctuary follow your route with the smaller, brighter bell. This in the negative hand and strike sharp rings of the bell in each corner. What you're looking for here is a resonance that lasts for about seven seconds. You will probably find this takes a few rings of the bell at first but this indicates the frequency is clear and ready for you to treat as a blank canvas, if you will, to assert your own desire upon the constituency of the electro-magnetic composition of the ecology within the house and its environs. You will note the change in tonal quality as you proceed through the and you will be establishing a sanctuary fo

Once you have blasted out you are ready to overlay whatever may have lived there previously. Consider it to be an electrical footprint or an echo if you like, the main thing to bear in mind is that you can alter and bring order to it.

Think about those qualities or frequencies you want to live in the house. Let's say that in the main family room for example, the lounge or living room, you want family values, harmony, warmth, joy, encouragement to be there then take the time to contemplate these things in there, what are they for you, what do they represent for you and visualise those things happening there. This is a two way deal, it's an engagement, so what are you prepared to offer those things to have them come and make the house their home?

We don't know each other so I don't know what your level of accomplishment is, and I realise that is mutual, but bring to bear whatever you can to the process. Invest the best of yourself into this and you will get a matching return.

Your attitude has to be right. If you don't believe this is possible then don't start, it's already a lost cause. The kind of things we're considering here work on precise balances and frequencies and if the necessary groundwork isn't in place the res is purely academic and of no consequence. Get it right and you will feel the gratitude of the building in response to the care and attention that you are lavishing upon it.

This is a precise engineering job wherein you are totally empowered and have complete agency within it. Where there has been dischord and disharmony you will bring about a healing and re-establish balance and harmony. Summon whatever authority you may and your work will be endorsed by those things that resist the inappropriate activities you are seeking to balance out.

Of necessity I have been general but you have the principles outlined here to be able to do an effective cleansing job. Whatever esoteric or specific turns you choose to take as you complete your cleanse will all be based upon the foundations and principles laid out here. While incredibly precise this process is, at a fundamental level, also incredibly simple.

I should point out I never lived in the house. Our furniture is staging it. House is 10 years old. Part of a subdivision on what had always been woods previously. Pedophile was the builder of the house. House is spotless, new paint, we removed the urinals (yes he put in urinals in each bathroom). No oddities in the property itself. We had 2 sets of renters in the one year we owned it, one couple disappeared on us and the second couple was there while looking for a one floor house to buy.

I did read up on Karen Kingston's Space Clearing methods and they really resonated with me. Very similar to yours Lee. I have been gathering items and plan on starting a space cleaning myself later this month. I have a friend who surprisingly has had some classes with Karen and she has offered to help.

Hello Twinkie.

Let's consider that there was a time when humans were comparatively few and far between. Yet now we are absolutely everywhere. This puts a premium on suitable or even ideal locations. When there were less of us it was far more apparent what represented optimal places to build and establish, homes, communities and so on. River crossings, plateaus, easily defended positions, climate, terrain and so on were factors that went into the pot.

Yet now we live in a 'post land grab' age. With upwards of 7 billion of us there has been a dilution in the quality of what land is available to build upon and we have come to expect less as we become further removed from the fundamentals of what are necessary ingredients to make habitation both practical and propitious.

Those are simple mundane physical concerns. Yet if we factor into the equation the more subtle aspects of living a life on this planet other factors become of consideration too. I am a pantheist, I consider that all physical manifestations are the result of a prior state in the unseen or the electrical worlds. I believe that the idea has to come before the act and that nothing physical is without a more subliminal antecedent.

What this means is that the planet we live upon is itself the platform for a seething mass of electro magnetic energy. Now I say that purely as a point of reference, to begin to categorize and define that is a major work so of necessity we'll deal in generalisms here.

The planet, then, is a living entity with its own character and outward expression. At the simplest level we can observe this in the flora and fauna life and then at the less obvious level there are those subtle emanations that arise from the endemic frequencies held in certain locations.

Ley lines have become a popular study of late. Consider them in the way that an acupuncturist might appreciate the meridians of the human body. These are electrical pathways along which things may travel or process. Now I hate the word things so I'll pitch these in and you can make what you will of them, to think of these in analogous terms think of them as being the planet's nerve life, they have colloquial names like fairies, elementals and nature spirits. This isn't Disney or Hollywood so don't get hung up on names.

So let's suppose that the place we're considering has a ley line that runs through it. In the uninterrupted scheme of things entities, which is not a pejorative term, would pass along just as a current passes along a wire or a train along a track. Suppose someone decided to place a building there and interfered with the free flow of electrics, again the acupuncture model is the same in principle. The result could be a build up of static that is not dissipated and leads to strange symptoms manifesting in the occupants of the building who are unwittingly drawn into the equation.

Back to the earlier premise of huge population growth. Scarcity of land means that there is less to choose from so the likelihood of inappropriate building plots becomes a factor. people's sensitivities were such that at one time they would turn their faculties upon a potential plot and 'detect' what was there. Look, this goes into the whole background of fairy tales, trolls under bridges, ogres in dark places and so on. The Chinese still place credence in this through Feng Shui although they tend to become a bit evasive and mystical when trying to explain things.

Each plot of land has its own natural harmony or equilibrium. Uninterferd with it just does its own thing. Throw humans into the picture and all sorts of things start to happen. Especially if they are not sensitive to these things and there is a disruption. Remember that we are guests here, this planet of ours is a great and generous hostess but we are the visitors, she's been here all along so we owe a duty of care and respect to her natural order.

Say that to most people and they will consider you to be nuts. However, it is the case. There are things you can do to find out what the nature of your plot of land is. It starts with sensitivity and switching on your higher faculties. I don't know where you are with that but I'll assume your some way past 'go'. Activate your clear viewing faculties, so that's clairvoyance, clairoleance, clairsentience, clairaudience.

Move around the plot and make a note of anything that impresses itself upon you. If you're looking for ley lines they usually register as a slight tingling in the hand and that is confirmed by gently moving the hand backwards and forwards through the tingling and it feels not unlike a very mild magnetic field. Have you ever held to magnets toward each other and felt the resistance? It's a finer form of that kind of thing.

You can confirm it with dowsing rods, if you discover anything, and also with pendulum. Your hands are the most sensitive equipment though, hands and forearms so wear sleeves short or rolled up. Now then we have to throw into what you're doing the level of susceptibility and fantasy you're prone to. I say that only to keep you grounded as people can get the strangest ideas when you begin to talk about these matters.

Prepare a map of your plot. Hot spots, cold spots, areas of disturbance, areas that see particularly tranquil and so on. you can then engineer your space accordingly. Where do you locate certain things? In the garden area, plants, ponds, benches, arches, statuary and so on.

In the home itself where do you locate furniture, what rooms do you allocate for what functions, what colours do you use, what shapes, how are things palced... All of this can lead to balance or imbalance. All of it can represent an attraction or a discouragement to higher and finer things which can be invited in to your ecology.

No-one that I know of has written about these things comprehensively. It's esoteric stuff and not readily available. As such I hope that points you in the direction you may want to go.
