Astral Projection, I would like to do it again. Several months ago I had a spontaneous Astral travel experience. I had been looking into it and I think I put out an intention to do it. I've wanted to do it again since then. I believe it could be a gateway to change, and I'm sure I'm supposed to do it again. Last night I gave it a shot and had an interesting and frustrating experience. I let myself get to that point in sleep where my thoughts start getting random and spontaneous (I don't know how else to describe it), then i intervened and pictured my hands pulling me up a rope out of my body. I was starting to get there but something was holding me back. I felt the buzzing that i felt before but my heart started racing to an almost unbearable point. Also I was far to conscious and aware of the physical world, far too much it seems. On another note it seems that I can manifest things that I intend only a few times and then I somehow ruin it. I manifested my first astral journey. I also manifested being able to wake up immediately with my alarm, but I think i got too involved in both and was only able to keep that up for 3 days. I somehow sabotaged both of them. Can anyone give suggestions? Are there any good resources i could explore to be able to do this again? I find that this is a recurring theme in my life. Things come ot me very easily at first, but then they are difficult to continue or replicate. How do I get out of my own way? |
As for the astral projection, try doing the same rope pulling trick but at the end of a sleep cycle as you're coming out of sleep instead of on your way in. |
I've heard that the rope pulling works pretty well, although I still haven't had success with it. I feel like I'm so close every time, but after pulling up the rope high enough I just can't go any further. Usually my body is almost completely numb from sleep paralysis at this point. I'm kind of waiting to lose more weight and get fit before getting into AP again (I've read that your health is very important for it to work), although it's definitely one of my goals for the next few years. That's an interesting suggestion, Erin. I'll have to give that a shot. Hey Joe, do you have lucid dreams often? If so, I've read that while in this state, your spirit does pop out of the body. Supposedly if you look at your hands and focus you will exit the dream state and actually be in the astral realm. |

I think this subject is fascinating! I have studied a little bit about lucid dreaming, but not astral projection. I wasn't aware that if you look at your hands in a lucid dream, you could pull yourself into the astral realm. I've had a hell of a time inducing lucid dreams. I THINK i astral traveled once,i was waking up from sleep but didnt quite wake up,i felt the sleep paralysis, and then next thing i knew,i "was" floating in the air on the other side of my room. I couldn't see or feel anything,i just FELT like i wasn't in my body. But i didnt make that happen,it happened on it's own. Can astral projection work that way? Or do you have to purposely TRY to make it happen? Anyway...i can relate to the "beginners luck" thing...i had great experiences with brainwave cd's the first time i used them, then NOTHING after that. Must be the expectation/pressure to perform thing LOL |
