I was just wondering if anyone can help me in trying to figure out what my dreams mean...the thing is a big majority of my dreams take place in my old house/neighborhood. I don't remember exactly when that started happening but I began noticing like a year or 2 ago. I moved from there in october of 2001, so its gonna 7 years. Does anyone have any idea what it might mean to have the majority of your dreams in the same place? Thanks in advance. |

Well, it could be a couple of things. I'll throw some out there and see what, if anything, sticks for you. First thing that comes to me is that you are still in the same place emotionally or psychically that you were then and/or your Guides are trying to help you get through/over/into something that you missed while you were there. Of course, it could just be a comfortable, familiar place for you psyche too. I often have dreams that occur in my old High School. I graduated 20 years ago... go figure. Do any of these dreams have something in common other than the location? |

Hello, My dreams almost always take place in the home I grew up in--or usually it's a combo of that and other places. The house, however, is symbolic of your psyche, and the various rooms are various 'places' in your psyche. I dream about and in my home often--I think it's usually the place that you first felt as home, or that you feel most is your "home." Growing up, there are so many aspects of a home that we take in from day 1 that we never would do as an adult. In that way, I think the home we grow up in becomes internalized much more, and much more a reflection of our inner selves. |

Hmmm well I havent noticed anything else common in my dreams besides it always taken place in my old house. Im going to try and notice the weeks coming up to see if I see/feel a certain way in those dreams. Personally though, I think theres something I need to let go but I have no idea what it could be... |

After you've done this for a few weeks, look back over your old entries and see if you start seeing a pattern or some commonality. Focus on that and what it may mean for you. Also look for things that seem completely out of place - things that could only happen in the Dreamtime. Let these be keys for you in future dreams. If see/experience any of these things, let it be a key for you to recognize you are dreaming. Simply being in your old house is a perfect start. The next time you're in your old house, you will know you are dreaming. Allow yourself to become conscious of the fact that you are dreaming without waking yourself up. This is what's called a Dream Induced Lucid Dream (DILD). Once you've become lucid in your dream, ask for your Guide(s) to come to you and explain to you why you keep coming back here. If you've never connected with your Guides before, don't become alarmed or scared. Whatever form they take for you will be one that you can handle and understand. They may try to test you by giving you something frightening, but if you stay fearless, you'll be able to connect to them in a much stronger way. Chances are, though, that if you do connect, you will immediately feel loved and welcomed. You may even, if your Guides have a sense of humor like mine, get a, "What took you so long?" sort of question from them. Either way, they will help you out with this recurring dream issue. Peace and strong dreaming, Mato Kinze |

Thanks for the advice. I don't journal but I think I will start today. I had a pretty interesting dream last nite and it involved a lot of the things I'm trying to manifest. Pretty exciting. I've tried on past occasions to connect with my guide but I don't think I was that successful. I will try though the next time I'm aware I'm lucid dreaming. Hopefully that's soon. |

Melii, I was inspired by you, and last night I dreamed of the house I grew up in, and my brothers and mother were there. I dreamed two dreams, both in that place and with those people. It was really nice to see them, especially my mom, whom I can talk with in dreams now. Thank you for planting the seed of comfort and connection for me. |

wow i thought i was the only one who had recurring dreams about my childhood home! I've had many dreams about my home i lived in until i was 11,and also dreams of my grandmothers home which i haven't been in since i was about 12 or 13. But they weren't all good dreams. The ones about MY home,i was trying to get in. Like i was in the yard trying to see inside the windows at the people living there now. Or it was so completely changed that i felt sad i didnt' live there anymore. And the dreams in my grandma's house, they were scary, like in one her dead body was sitting in a rocking chair and i was saying "i love you" to it. Freaky. Well then,i kinda figured out that these dreams meant that i missed my childhood, and i missed my grandma. After coming to that realization, the dreams stopped. Now i have dreams about my other old house where my mom still lives, but these dreams aren't scary or depressing, theyre usually random and stupid and make no sense. So i will guess that your dreams just mean you miss your childhood,at least that's what mine meant.
