| OK, if you read my profile, this is the first lucid dream i mentioned......... OK i wasn't lucid at first in the beginning but ill explain....................... --- i found my self, with my eyes closed, with my arms covering my head, and my body wrapped in a ball, i was so scared, because i knew, there was absolutely nothing there what so ever, but darkness in all directions.... i would then hear a voice speak to me, telling me to open my eyes and look up... when i opened my eyes, i was plucked from ground level, to a very high height, when i reached this point, i was then pegged at what seems like warp speeds, i always awoken soon after..... scared stiff............. BTW i was 6 at the time....... anyway i thought it was nothing but a dream at first... but dreams don't come back and back for weeks for months........ well, how do i explain this...... basically, the dream repeated a few times like it says above.... and then, when i was there again, and when the voice asked me to open my eyes and look up, i refused too..... i awoke normally when ever i showed up here, i knew where i was etc etc... well this is where it gets stranger..... sometime later i found my self there again..... but i did not hear the same voice... i heard the voice of my mother... asking me to open my eyes and look up.... you can guess what happened?????? the same bloody thing.... ill cut this short now..... i trained my self..... to know when in the dark space.... don't trust a word!!!! because, whatever was happening, some force was using all the peoples voices i knew in real life.... so i had to not listen to anyone!!!!! i grew up around drunks.... so i learnt some *bad* words that i was using upon the voices i heard.... then it happened. i was telling the voices where to go.... when i felt some type of whooshing sound... that's when i heard the first voice i heard... roaring and demanding i open my eyes.... i wont lie i was scared ****-less, but i kinda thought it couldn't touch me with my eyes closed..... i basically told it where to go.... and felt it leave...... right then.... i don't know why, but i could stand up and open my eyes...... and see the void for my first time with out no fear.... thank for reading this..... ps, i have found my self there again..... my views are always constantly changeing on the void......

| Been there. I know EXACTLY what you're talking about. I didn't experience it until I was an adult, but that sense of terror - well, not exactly terror, more like panic - was very real. Funny thing is, I was TRYING to get there. I just wasn't prepared for the totality of the "nothingness" I experienced. I mean, throughout our entire conscious existence there has been movement. Nothing and I mean NOTHING is ever completely still. If nothing else, heat makes air molecules move, so there is always some kind of perceptible movement. In the void, or what the Buddhists call the Ohm, there is absolutely nothing and since there's nothing there, there's nothing to move. Even now, it is still a very unsettling place for me, I have to admit, but the panic I had the first time I experienced it has subsided. For what it's worth, I don't think the voices you heard were malicious, though I can only imagine what my response would have been if I'd heard my Spirit Guides like that when I was six. I'm glad you've conquored your fear. Now you can work on being clear about what you are experiencing. Once you have clarity, you are half way there. Good luck. |

| Wow. That's incredible. Congratulations on such a profound development! What is this "void"? My question is this: I used to take vicodin recreationally...not good, I know, but one day I took it successively, as often as it said was healthy (for someone with a broken hand, of course), and by the end of the day, I was feeling lightheaded, and collapsed on the bed so as not to faint. What happened was I was forever in black, like I was consciously unconscious...like, I felt unconscious and was in black, but my mind was awake. I was like this for what seemed to be a long, long time (probably a couple minutes though) and then forced myself to open my eyes and eventually to call out my boyfriend's name. But it was weird--like I couldn't get back 'here.' Of course, I know this could purely be physical, and I was f***ed up, but it was an extremely scary experience. I didn't calm down for about an hour after that. |

| The Void is what the Buddhists call the Ohm - the emptiness that is everything. The Native Americans call it "The Great Mystery" and Christians call it "the Holy Spirit". From The Void all things are created from nothingness through pure intent. In this place you are everything and nothing all at the same time. Words don't really do it justice just as human thought can not truly grasp it and any words applied to it are not only insufficient by also by their very nature limiting. One way that I think of it is if you believe in a God figure, this is where it came from and where it has its own existence. When we are in this "place", we become as God for the function of what we do there. We can Create in the same way that we ourselves were created, without the intrusion of outside interference. Because nothing exists in the Void aside from what we bring there what we bring is pure. It is ours and ours alone. In every other situation, whether Spiritual or Physical, we only change or cause change to that which is already here. But in The Void, we can't change anything because there's nothing there to begin with. What we place there, we bring forth in the same way we - and everything we can comprehend - were brought forth; as manifestations of pure intent. Like I said, any kind of description of the Void is insuffcient as the Void is indescribable. But maybe that helped give you a slight idea of how it occurs for me. |
