Spirit in the shape of a man sitting in my room.

Hey, I was just in the bathroom, and I was tuned into the "sound of creation", or "sound of the chakras" or whatever you want to call it (the high pitch ringing noise, that starts off in the right ear; and no it is not a medical condition!) and I came out and walked into my room. Well when I opened the door, I could not see, but in my mind I felt the presence of a spirit in the form of a man sitting on my bed, and immediately I got chills. Also when, I was writing this, I felt the spirit staring at me and kind of got the idea that he came behind me and put his hands on my shoulders. So I'm wondering, is this the presence of a spirit guide, a dead relative, or a neutral spirit.

Or mental disease!?! Lol... wouldn't that be interesting. No history of mental illness in my family... so...

Sounds like an imaginary friend gone bad.

Seriously though, there is absolutely no tangible evidence that spirits even exist (in fact, I'm almost certain they don't). THere is, however, an abundance of evidence showing that the mind often plays tricks on us. The best way to get rid of "spirits" is to understand that they only really exist in your mind.

Well I doubt that you've just suddenly gone crazy.

What is much more likely is that the sound meditation that you were listening to had the effect of temporarily shifting your vibration.

The result was one that made you more open to energy levels, ie. levels of spirit, that you rarely see.

Exactly who the man was is difficult to determine but several possibilities do exist...

He is a spirit that has always resided in your house and you were just suddenly made aware of him. Oftentimes once a spirit realizes that you are aware of them, they attempt to interact. Basically just to see if they can, curiosity, just like you or I have.

Another possibility is that he was someone you knew in a past life, when your vibration shifted you briefly existed in a vibration that was closer to your own in that past life, and thus had a brief encounter with that past life.

Just some suggestions, but don't bother dwelling on it or pouring any energy into fears about it.

Just continue your meditation technique and see where your developing awareness takes you.

How did you feel when you became aware of the presence and while he had his hands on your shoulders?

Sometimes, when I am journalling and using that as a way to interact with my spirit guides, I get the impression of someone standing behind me as I type with their hands on my shoulders. It's a comforting, loving presence though, definitely not scary. Sometimes too, my cat (who often sits right next to my computer on my desk while I'm working) will look over my shoulder at something/someone/whatever she sees!

And yeah, it did feel comforting, just like as you described it. And that's interesting how your cat's starts staring at the entity!
