Developing Psychic Abilities

So I have been itching to write an article about how to develop psychic abilities.

I want to clarify first that its not because I think I'm this great psychic! or anything!

Its mostly because I feel I can give an account of what its like for a 'beginner' to go through the initial phases of development.

So I would like to know if anyone would be interested in participating in an experiment to develop some of these skills, as to the effectiveness of the techniques we can explore.

I would like to eventually publish a guide on my site, and offer it to the world as a how to, sort of thing.

Ok so I keep getting inspired to talk about telepathy. Let's start with that.

This is how I understand telepathy.

Essentially we are all connected through a Universal Mind. This is also called the collective subconscious among other things, but essentially we all pull information from this 'mind' that we are all connected to.

I often find myself getting impressions of thoughts from other people, sometimes in words and sometimes in what I would call prethought.

Prethought is the energy that is thoughts before they are made into concepts like words. Or you could just call them intentions.

These types of intentions are a low form of communication. It could be someone sending you an I love you vibe, or someone sending you a not so nice vibe, but it is essentially something we are all familiar with. Sending and receiving vibes.

It is important to stress that telepathy, like psychic abilities are natural, innate. Meaning we already have these abilities. So I consider the process of regaining these skills as remembering how to do them. Its all a process of remembering.

So to become aware of prethought, merely become aware of a persons intentions and feelings towards you. Prethought feels like a burst of energy, directed at you, like a ping for a computer. Just a simple way of saying hello.

The next step is to become aware of the words that come into your head. Where do they all come from? While some of them may be your imagination or your mental chatter, you are constantly receiving words and phrases from other sources, namely people.

So merely notice and become aware of the words and phrases that pop into your mind.

To review:

Telepathy works because we are all connected to a Universal Mind.

A basic form of communication is energy vibrations, followed by prethought.

Notice any forms of prethought, energy vibration, followed by words and phrases that come into your head for the next few days that you think might be from other people.

And post your experiences here so we can hear about them!

I am interested and would like to help. I have never tried telepathy though. How exactly do you start? I have a lot of trouble trying to "hear" what people are thinking because I have so much coming at me at once. I know how to meditate, but how do you suggest "listening" without meditating? I am eager to work on my abilities, but am not sure where to start on this one.

Yeah, I'm not sure if it's possible to listen clearing WITHOUT meditating. Meditation is a calming and Centering yourself. With that focus, it's easier to "tune in" to what you're trying to accompolish.

As far as abilities go- your meditation will allow you to connect with your spirit guides, your High Self, and also calm you. Telepathy and a deliberate act to contact someone else, will prolly be limited.
