Default Psychic Impatience

I posted this issue as one of the topics I'd like to see Erin address in her audio programs but, as the title suggests, I'm impatient and want to talk about it right now!

I'd like input from you psychic sorts, even if you don't consider yourself really psychic but you do get what you consider to be psychic hits, premonitions, intuitive messages, dream revelations, etc, about future events.

Do you ever feel impatient for the thing you're sensing to hurry up and come about? And how do you placate that impatience? How do you stay in this moment, in the Now, when you have a strong sense of the outcome of the situation or encounter?

I'm naturally a pretty take-action kind of gal - survey the situation, determine a course of action, and get to it. So when I get a strong sense of something about a person or an event that is coming eventually (like in several months or even a year or longer), it's really hard for me to go on about my business and let the universe deliver when the time is right. I want it to come on and happen already!

I know (from painful experience) that trying to *help* the event along, trying to *make* it happen (because I know it's going to happen) or in some cases trying to make it NOT happen, tends to backfire on me. So how to live peacefully now with *knowledge* of the future?

Lola, I completely get you on this! I've been having issues with one particular area of my life. I'm also a take-action, make-it-happen kinda gal and what's most frustrating to me now is the fact that it's all in the hands of others. All I have to do is wait. I don't like waiting. I know - and even worse, I know not just on a psychic level but because I've been told it's going to happen - but I can't really do anything.

I've been struggling with this issue for ages and it only really occurred to me today that if I know it's going to happen, I can sit back, relax and enjoy "now" without it actually being here. Relish it not having happened yet, I suppose. I've been doing a lot of meditation lately and releasing with the Sedona Method, and that's made it much, much easier. And it's given me time to strengthen my position for when it does finally happen, by taking other actions around the whole topic.

Hope that helps - and I'm glad I'm not the only one doing this!

On a clear day, the sky is blue. If I hated the color blue, there's not one damned thing I could do about it to change the color of the sky. I could wear different colored lenses in my glasses, but that would only change my perception of the sky, not the sky itself and in the end is simply fooling myself.

Impatience is the desire to make change - to be impactful - to be POWERFUL. Humility is a wonderful counteragent to this.

Practice humility and you will become accepting.

Oh, and BTW, don't pray for humility or you will be humbled.

That's fantastic advice - very much like the Zen warning about being trapped by the desire to be without desire.

Ah, yes. And this is part 2 of my problem. Besides knowing this particular thing that's coming, I usually get direction as to what beneficial actions I could be taking in the meantime, in preparation. But it's ever so much more fun to daydream about *the beautiful future* than to roll up my sleeves and deal with these pesky little self-improvement tasks!
