Default almost got out

I knew I was out of my body partly but could only move my etheric arms. I was in my bed asleep when I realized I was conscious of my body being asleep. not as lucid dreaming. At first thought was "where am I?". I couldn't tell where "I" was. I tried to pull the rest of my etheric body out by pushing back on the bed with etheric arms. I was scared to do this so just my etheric arms were free, nothing else. It felt like I was breathing something more than air and was afraid of what it would be like to pop totally out of body but was trying to pull out anyway. I made some movements with my arms, like Tai Chi movements, tracing the yin/yang symbol and also pulling those hands toward me while inhaling and pushing away while exhaling - like a Gigong move. I had conscious control of those arms/hands while I started to feel more of my regular body and my physical arms were stuck in place with the rest of that physical body. Anyway, there was fear about it and I was happy to snap back into my body and realize where I was. Kind of disorienting, but fun too. Haven't had that experience in a while.

I was kind of hoping I could get out and turn to my physical body and give it a healing. I'm been getting over a cold. I had that thought but was too fearful of popping out totally. but also wondered if that was even something people do.

One time I was totally in my etheric body sitting on the edge of the bed, looking around the room and at a blue looking latice network that was my etheric body. It was fascinating to see and look at. But then looking and breathing in that body was different, kind of more full feeling, if that makes sense.

Just wanted to put that out. Comment if you like, or if you have had similar things with feeling your etheric body outside of your physical body. sometimes I think it's more important to feel this etheric body as right in place with the physical body - there's no need to pop out, in other words.

That sounds great!

I wanted to comment by saying that astral travel, to me, seems like a natural ability.

So when you think of it as something we can do normally, you find that it is easier and not so scary or otherworldly.

But take the plunge and dive out next time!

Actually science has shown that you can emulate an out of body experience (Which is close to astral projection) by stimulating a certain area of your brain. The fact that our bodies have this capability is certaintly something to think about.

It is kind of fun but also not sure that it is a step in the right direction - as far as being more conscious goes. I almost think it would be more powerful to access Being through my physical body - instead of thinking I need to leave it. If I think of my body as a representation of my spirit, I start to think if I was really present in being, that spirit would shine through my existing physcial body that would be like a vail or curtain or shell that being/spirit shines through. I repeated myself, ha?

I suppose if Idid get out of my body more I'd be curious about that relationship of my etheric body to my physical body. So in a sense I'd get some value of experiencing going out of body, just to know better what is really inside or behind my physical body.

Is this what you are talking about? I believe it's called "clicking your amygdala forward".

No, I'm talking about this and that.

The amygdala is an interesting idea. I was referring to electrical stimulation in my last post. I'm going to read more into this "clicking".

Thanks for the links, I'll check them out.
I'm just getting into this amygdala thing so I have a few good links if you're interested. Seems like there's a wide range of reactions to this, anywhere from 'don't feel a thing' to 'instant nirvana'! Check these out.

It seems like a very interesting experience. You should try and get out more. I've never personally done this myself, but someday I hope to get out of my body and fly around for awhile, in this world, before progressing on to astral travel.

I have read the Amygdala ideas before and think it has validity. I don't know how to have it happen in my brain though. I also had found some sites talking about post traumatic stress syndrome in relation to the amygdala getting too often set in the flight or fight position and basically sending the brain's signals to the more automatic response parts of the brain. So if to be enlightened is no suffering, which is to not have habitual though patterns or addictions running you, it correlates.

I wonder if you guys will try to figure out that clicking it forward thing and have a light bulb go off in you. I hope to revisit and refresh the amygdala ideas with your links here, thanks. Although, I don't think it leads to going out of body - I think it provides a brain state that allows you to be more connected and possibly get out of habitual thinking or thinking in general, in which case perception could get away from the illusion of a separate self and feel and one with all that is. Which might be like going out of body but staying in the body (he he).
