Remote Viewing and Astral Projection? I have read alot of information on the internet about remote viewing. I was wondering if remote viewing and astral projection are the same. It seems to me to be generally the same however remote viewing seems to be a projection into a physical time either in the past, present or future and AP seems to deal mostly in a different spiritual plain. Could someone explain the differences (if any)? If anyone would care to share either a remote viewing experience or their AP experience I would love to hear about it! |
Remote viewing is a mental projection. You don't leave your body to accomplish it. I don't believe I've done any remote viewing, although recently I've received many synchronicities telling me to look into it. Haven't done it yet though. Very busy. ;) |
Again Erin comes through! Thanks Erin, My main concern was about protecting myself while remote veiwing if it was anything like AP. :) Again you have come throught for me. :D |
I tried a bit of scientific remote viewing with a tiny bit of success, and I definitely didn't leave my body to do it. I haven't quite succeeded at AP, but I have done a little bit of RV. |
I don't know much about AP, but some 2 years ago I read a lot about RV. You can learn it for free from sites such as The Farsight Institute | Remote Viewing Nonprofit Research and Educational Institute and remote-viewing.com Here's a nice video of a well known remote viewer, Joni Dourif, where she demonstrates her RV skills: One Remote Viewer put to the test while our cameras were rolling! Which one is this? I'll share something I don't know how to call it. I had an experience just yesterday and came here for some answers, when this thread appear.Never heard of remote viewing before, though. All I know that it certainly wasn't a dream. Here's what happened: This whole Sunday I was badly hungovered and tired from the night before:o , and by the time sunset started, I was getting dizzy so I practically collapsed on my bed. I love to meditate when it's sunset, so I started relaxing in this comfortable horizontal position. It was wery nice, since I couldn't move a muscle, and I had to breath deeply because of dizzyness. Then, a sound of someone chopping wood interrupted my thoughts. Since my house is on a corner of two streets, and my bedroom is on the second floor, also on the corner, I couldn't determin which neighbour was doing that. As i started to ''play'' with the sound, getting really into it (because I wondered who was doing it), I got my answer in a really funny way. Without wanting to do so, I went through my wall, and from above saw that it was my father chopping the wood. It was very brief experience, lasted about two minutes. When I ''came back'', I was suprised to see myself lying on the bed (I still haven't moved a muscle). I felt my body again (like returning from a deep meditation), got up, went to the window, and there was my father, chopping wood in the very place I saw him doing it, wearing the very hat I just saw him wearing. It was so exciting!:) Can anyone help me determin what happened? Here are the facts: I didn't do it on purpose. It just happened as I wondered about it. My vibration couldn't been high because of all the toxins from the night before going around- so no astral for sure. It most certainly DID happen, because we don't usually chop wood in our backyard, we do it in our garage. I was with my father all day, working around our garage, and he didn't wore that hat until I saw it from above. When I went 'through' the wall, the air outside felt different.Like there was no wind at all, no breeze, and no sounds but of course, chopping wood.It also had a different color, like the whole backyard and air were in somekind of thick substance, but I couldn't actually feel it, cuz I had no body there. The colors were different (it could have been because of sunset).I wouldn't go so far and call it an AP, but it could be a mini remote viewing (since I was out only to view something), or a mini out-of-body experience (the shock initiating it being a -hungover?) Has anyone had similar experiences? Thank you for reading this. I'm not really in search for a definition here, merely wondering how can I do it again, on pupose. It surely felt great, like the most natural thing to do when you're tired and not feeling like getting up. I hope we can figure something out. In the meantime, I'll slow down on my red red wine loving. |
LillyoftheValley...create a reference point... Hi Lilly, I'm by no means an expert but if I was to guess...it sounds like remote viewing. I'm sure Erin or someone else who is fimilar with Astral projection could tell you if it was that or not. From what I have gathered regarding meditations is to re-create the experience by meditating and imagining the entire event as detailed and real as you can. This creates a reference point. It's sort of like creating a belief in what you want to do because you've done something similar before. I'm really not sure if it applies in situations of Astral Projection. In remote viewing it's like a confidence boost. Can anyone else lend confirmation ( or maybe I'm totally off base:) ) or additional information here? |
Thank you Khristine! Quote:
I'll surely try it, but I have to admit, the more I investigate on remote viewing, the more I'm puzzled with it, and less confident about doing it again. It is because I didn't intend on doing it, I induced it by listening the sound alone. When I came out of it, my first thought was that I dreamt it, but remembering the feeling it had, it wasn't a dream, and eventhough it happened to me the first time, it had a familiar, cozy feeling. I have no other words for it but 'getting an answer'. (If I knew the answer was coming in this way, boy would I have a different question!;) ) Either way, thank you for the advice. I plan on figuring it out 'while it's still fresh'. My guess is that it was a glimpse of unintentionall remote viewing. Anyone with similar experience? |
Your Welcome Lilly And yes I do practice it. I haven't become real good at it yet. But it's a really good feeling when you get even part of what your trying to view correct. Some simple techniques are: Taking a deck of cards and trying to "see" what they are before you flip them over. Taking a deck of cards and trying to "see" if it is a High or Low card. Putting either individual numbers, colors, letters, or shapes into unmarked tan envelopes (the ones you can't see through) and try to "see" what is inside. My higher-self advised me to start out with only 2 envelopes and as I get better add one more, get better at that, add one more, etc. Watch Deal or No Deal and try to "see" how much money is in each case:D You will find in your investigations that this was scientifically done by the U.S. government and has been done by individuals. Knowledge is a very good thing, but somehow it always brings me back to "simple is best". Like I said...I'm not really good at it yet but it is fun and exciting;) |
