Could my daughter see stuff???!!

I am not too sure about it and I am trying not to make a big deal out it...but here is the story:

My daughter who is now 2 is seeing some kind of "fish" and she does not seem to like it. When she is in her bath, she would be ok for a few moments, and after she tells me that she is seeing a "fish" and does not want to stay in the water anymore (she loves to play in the water). I ask her to point where she sees the "fish" but I do not see anything. Also, she sees it now in our room, the kitchen...except in the living and her room. is it just her imagination? ( i doubt it a bit) or can she see something that we don't?

can someone tell me what a "fish2 representation might mean?

Has she recently been introduced to fish? A bath toy ,?perhaps one of her tv cartoons or shows that she has watched ?
or heard you or a family member talking about fish? storytime maybe? fish and chips for diner lol

because of her age she is learning alot of words and perhaps this is where it is coming into the picture...

I couldn´t tell you what your daughter is seeing or even if she´s really seeing something or not...but what I can say, is that I have seen children and babies behave this way many times.

One time, my friend came over to my house with her baby. He was like 3 months old at the time...she was changing his diaper on my bed, and then we just sat there chatting, while the baby was laying face up on the bed. Suddenly, he started laughing like a maniac (which is not that common in babies that young)...and looking at the ceiling...neither my friend nor me, where sitting in the direction he was looking at. This went on for several minutes...him staring at something, and just laughing like crazy...suddently it stopped. And he went back to being normal...and to watching us. We were a bit freaked out, because we thought he was seeing a spirit and this spirit was making funny faces at him or something...we don´t know. But it could be.

This is very interesting. My daughter has alway had strange fears since she was little and we dismissed it by saying she was a little drama queen. She is now 9 years old has ADHD and a severe anxiety disorder with two phobias thrown into the mix. At 2 years of age there is very little specialists can do but wait. If I took my daughter to the doctor at age 2 and told them what she was seeing and freaking out about they would've just said that they cannot say for sure what she was experiencing. She was only diagnosed last year at age 9. It might be a good thing if you kept a little diary of when she sees this fish and what the fish is doing and why she fears it and what it looks like etc.

Because I know what it is like to have that happen to me I am more than happy to correspond with you and give you my support as it can be very distressing when our children do things that are considered out of the norm.

Nothing psychic on this one. She somewhere got a concept of fish and figured out that fish lives in water. I am sure you can't always track where she got it exactly and from whom and how. No she sees water and of course fish in there.

I was 3 y.o. and totally saw angry wolves who lived in a dark forest close to our house. Because I got an idea that wolves live in dark forests and of course was telling everyone about the wolves...

Thank you for your comments. I will not make a big deal out of it for now. As another member said, I will however, take note of the times when she sees the "fish" around the house. I will keep you posted.
