Default recurrent dreams of things being stolen

For 3 nights in a row I've dreamed things where stolen from me.

The first night I dreamed some ladders and walk-boards (which are unsecured) were stolen from behind my shop. The meth-heads around here steal anything made of aluminum so they can sell it as scrap ,so, I thought, "well I've been meaning to lock that stuff up" , and I got a cable and locked them down.

The next night I dreamed that my gun safe had been opened and everything removed. Also in this same dream I was living in a house I lived in over 12 years ago and my ex-wife was there. In the dream, I woke up one morning and she had left me , when I looked outside the window my safe was outside and opened.

Last night I dreamed that I filled up my truck at a gas station and before I paid for the gas I saw someone I knew and began speaking to them. The owner of the gas station thought I wasn't going to pay and had my truck towed away . When I went to get my truck from impound, it had been stolen.

In the first 2 dreams my reaction was one of general sadness but in the last dream I became furious that someone had stolen my truck and I repeatedly told the gas station owner to find my truck or prepare to pay.

I'm puzzled and a bit concerned because of the recurring nature and the stepping up of seriousness in the dreams.

Any thoughts?

At the risk of this sounding obvious, do you feel like anyone is taking advantage of you lately? Stealing your time or energy?

Default Symbolism

I would think about what your truck means to you, income, emotion? or whatever. Dreams can be literal but are mostly symbolic.

is the theme of all three safety? Maybe you are not feeling secure about something? You have the answers jeff as ever!

First things that come to mind for me are loss or fear of loss of:

ladder = career or social advancement

gun = protection of vulnerabilities (especially regarding love & romance)

truck = freedom (ability to be mobile or self-sufficient)

What do those things mean for you?

A few weeks a go I began asking myself questions about what may be holding me back from some of my goals/aspirations right before I go to sleep, but nothing came of it then and I quit, maybe it's answers to those questions just now bubbling up.

Loss has been a recurrent theme in my life, things get going pretty well then the carpet gets yanked out from under me, over, and over. I think a lot of this stems from a loss I suffered when I was 15-16 that really devastated me, in retrospect it was just part of growing up , but I did not handle it well and I suspect it left an imprint on my psyche that causes me to re-live the feelings. If I was pressed to answer the question, "Do I live a fear driven life? " , the answer would be , "yes". I need to find a way to correct this problem but don't really know how.

Like a lot of people visiting this forum, I am trying to live a better , more fulfilling life and I get some good results from the techniques learned here, but without resolving underlying issues the changes are transitory and I always end up back at the same place. A lot of people conclude that IM doesn't work when they run into this but I've seen it work and will keep at it.

It's me. I'm stealing your things in my dreams. I'm a nocturnal scavenger.

I think he put it in my dreams, I vaguely remember seeing some ladders last night where they shouldn't have been.
