Proof Astral Projection Have any of you ever had an experience that caused you to believe 100% in astral projection? I don't just mean "I felt myself floating out of my body" type of thing. What I really mean is, have you had an experience that left absolutely no doubt in your mind that astral projection is real? For example, one man travelled to his professor's house, and the next day accurately described to her the entire inside of her house. I have yet to succeed at astral projection myself, so I'd love to hear your stories. |
I of course have had tons of experiences, but the one that stands out for me is the night my dad got out of bed to check out a "flapping" noise (his choices of words not mine) that he heard in the house. I was astral and flying down the stairs when I saw my dad coming up them. I tried to stop but flew through him. I wasn't expecting to see my father on the stairs in the middle of the night, but when I asked him about it the next morning he revealed he had indeed been on the stairs around about that time (near as we can tell). And I've had experiences where I've visited other people and told them what was going on in their room at the time. |
hmm well this morning, i think that i got about 2 to 3 inches out of my body, probably less actually, but what happened, was that i was just about to enter a wild[wake induced lucid dream] and it was then i noticed the feeling that it felt like my head was just leaning forward a little, so i remaned barely councious to move back my head a little, and i made sure to keep my eyes closed, and i moved my head back, i felt it move, but then all the sudden i heard and felt 2 loud cracks. CRACK!!! CRACK!!!it scared the crap out of me, i thought i had just messed up my neck realy badly, it didnt feel like a crack, it felt more like a grinding feeling and a sliding right off something. like rubbing youre face on wet sticky sandpaper. but it was the back of my neck. i then tried to move and noticed, agghhh i couldnt! then i tried and tried for 1 more second and i managed to move, i then woke myself up, worried. i look back and i think that from what ive read, the cracks were my astral body seperating from the physical, and the fact that i couldnt move was waking-paralysis, wich happens when your mind wakes up while your body is still asleep, and your body doesnt move because if you did everything that you think you do while sleeping, you would probably not have a fun awakening, but sometimes you body doesnt do this, so you sleep walk. |

Very interesting!! I was just talking to someone about astral projection like 3 days ago,and he told me they proved it does not exist. He said that there was a show once where they had some people do it and told them to go to a certain room in a certain house and tell them what they saw. Apparently, they couldn't prove anything. So if there ARE people out there who can do this, why doesn't everyone know it CAN be done? Why is it such a secret? |

Are you kidding me? There are plenty of "natural cures and therapies" that literally cost close to nothing and can heal many dangerous things that people normally would pay thousands of dollars on. :) It's one of those things where one thinks: "Why the heck doesn't the whole world know about this?! It's cheap! And it works! Come on people!" I guess "television" doesn't announce it ... so not many know. ;) Just my own two cents. Give Astral Projection a shot and see for yourself (via personal tests) if it's real. Don't rely on t.v. or little "tests" made by others. (People can make mistakes. On both ends.) |
One time.. Well this wasn't a major experience, but one that lasted for about a min or two ( but also at the same time felt like an eternity ). It occured when me and my significant other were taking nap. All of a sudden I felt my body rise up about 6-9 inches, fully aware and also hearing all sorts of sounds. The sounds can be described as hearing 10 different voices and/or being in tune with other energies that were already there ( i know it sounds weird). But nonetheless, there i was 6 inches above my physical body. I then happened to look down to see myself and my girl sleeping, and upon this sight i was quite shocked, kinda felt like this ... then i snapped back into my body and opened my physical eyes. (maybe my emotional response caused me to end my trip, idk). it was a very surprising and fascinating experience. In addition to this, Ive had a few consciously remembered experiences of me out of my body however, I am still working on having fully conscious projections and also out of body projections at will. My two cents. Peace. |
Yes I have had experiences that I am aware 100% were astral projection. The first time it happened to me I thought I was dying of a stroke...until a very good friend told me what it was and stopped me being scared out of my wits. After this was repeated at least 50-100 times after that I know what it is -just the way I know my hand is joined onto my arm. How to prove it to somebody else who has never had such an experience, and isn't there to witness the actual event? Impossible. How do you prove the sky is blue to someone who is blind? |
Oh yeah...then there's the dog-thing. I went out of body one night and went downstairs to see if my dog could see my astral body. I thought -(because that's how conscious you are in a true Astral projection) -if he can see me that's pretty good feedback. When I went down, he was lying in an unusual position on his bed, half under, and half out of a little blanket that he liked to go under at night. Well, he did see me, he looked up. He did recognize me, and wagged his tail (the blanket was wagging about all over the place) Then he sighed and went back to sleep, like "Astral Body? No big deal" I went back to my body straight away. I got up quickly which is always a bad idea because it makes me feel dizzy and nauseous if I do it too fast after being out. Anyway I had to check that what I had seen was true. I went quickly downstairs. And sure enough he was lying in the same unusual position I had seen him in when out of body. He looked up again but just looked very bored this time "Oh no, not you again" I rarely got those kinds of projections where I had brilliant control, and sometimes when I wanted to go out I couldn't, so found it hard to set up definite arranged meetings with friends or family for clear verifications. |
I once visited my sister when she was deployed in Iraq. She was at Camp Falcon just south of Baghdad (Google it, there's a pretty impressive video of the aftermath of a mortar hit on the base's ammo dump). I left my body and arched up over the Earth just like you see on the screen with Google Earth. I came down directly over the base and through the roof of the building where she was barracked. She was an officer so she had her own quarters. When I came in through the roof I saw her sitting on her bunk writing a letter. But more important than what I saw was what I felt: I could feel her emotions like a flood of pressure on my Heart. She was sad, lonely and deperately missed being home. I could see that she was crying and noticed a tear drop fall on the page she was writing. I came down beside her and gave her a "hug". I put every bit of love and reassurance I could into it. I projected to her that we all loved her and were waiting for her to finish her job and come home. I tried to send her resolve and courage and as much hope as I could gather. About a week later I got a letter from her. She was telling me about her new post. She apologized for not writing sooner, but she had been very busy cleaning up after an "incident" at the FOB (Forward Operating Base). She said that she was feeling much better now. She said that she had been feeling a little down earlier, but that somehow, just writing home seemed to really help. As I was putting the letter away, I noticed a dimpled spot on the paper. A spot where a tear had fallen. |
Some author said the astral realm is very fluid, with levels within constantly blending from one to the other from the astral traveller's viewpoint. Objects are subject to the duration, power, and frequency of personal and group thought: i.e., a new chair that has been in in your living room for only a week may, when an attempt is made to view it on the astral by the traveller, NOT be there OR super-imposed by another piece of furniture that was there in the past that had been there for years. Another "conclusion" the author made is that some areas, like the Christian Heaven, are virtually indestructible and solid (yet, subject to small changes) due to the past and present thoughts of all the people who have projected the place. So, it would seem all realities may be possible due to the wide variety of grouped thoughts. |
I did and would love to try again but I stopped because my place is still not cleared. There are critters so I just don't voluntarily astral project consciously anymore but I know I still project but I can't remember them. I still haven't explored our place but they keep on following me. My experience is posted here in this forum. http://www.stevepavlina.com/forums/p...xperience.html |
I've had OBE's where my room looked exactly the same as it does normally except that the light in it was different -more blue-ish. Then after taking a bearing on how fully-conscious I was, I might notice changes occur suddenly in the room (like there suddenly being an archway on the north wall which isn't there in physical world, etc) I once took hold of a feather which I had on my table, while out of body, and noticed that although I held the feather in my hand, there was still another feather lying on the table! Strange things like that happen. |
I've only had dreams about OBE. One thing that i wonder about: each time there's an invisible entity "helping" me out of my body. Any clue why that is? |

Robert Monroe described them in "Far Journeys" they are more intelligent more aware and so on, and they are cool. So don't freak out be nice :) |
That's nice, someone there to help you and befriend you. It's a blessing I think. I have found so many times that I'm so on my own now whenever I go out, which isn't that often nowadays. It gets so lonely even a poltergeist would be some company ! LOL! |
I've had OBE's ever since I was a little girl and it's what actually got me interested in the paranormal. Once I got older and realized that it's not the 'norm', I began to be scared of them. I don't get them often anymore, but the occasional sleep paralysis and OBE's that it sometimes results in made me research it more to assure myself there is nothing to be scared of. The last time I had one, I think that my lack of fear allowed my state of mind to remain calm so that I did not have a terrifying experience, it was actually quite humorous (though nothing spectacular). About 6 months ago my roommate went to take a nap and asked me to wake her by 4pm bc she had to be somewhere. I, myself, went to take a nap also. Then I woke up and realized that it was time to get her up. I jumped up, ran down the hall and knocked on her door. My hand was moving in slow motion, and although it connected with the door, it didn't actualll make a connection. There was no knocking noise, either. This confused me and I looked back down the hall and noticed everything looked "dimmer" but normal. I then realized I was out of my body, but at the same time I could feel my body in the bed. I started laughing then, thinking "I forgot my body!". Immediately I was back in my body, jumped up and ran to her door and knocked for real the 2nd time. |

Funny about the cats, I reckon some animals are fairly psychic, maybe they saw what was going on? |
By the way your previous post was so funny (re: forgetting your body). |

They normally are simply a Voice that explains or clarifies something for us, but, they are also very good at helping us to Dream, as opposed to simply dream. Helping you out of your body is one way to get you to realize you're dreaming and thus help you navigate the Dreamtime. Dreamguides are very useful once you become familiar with them (My Dreamguide told me what my first daughter's Totem would be six months before she was born). If you are trying to cultivate or improve your Lucid Dreaming, reaching out to your Dreamguide is a good first step. That being said, they're not "at your beck and call". They come when THEY think they need to not necessarily when you want them. |
Thank you Mato :) |
