Default Incredibly long and vivid dream

Hi,

Today I had one of those dream recall jolts where I suddenly remember a super long dream. It took about seven pages to write down in my notebook :P I think I might prefer a voice recorder for stuff like this
I'm just feeling that there's a lot in here, but I'm not too experienced with what it could mean. I'm wondering what you people think about it

(Okay, it isn't as long as those dreams experienced lucid dreamers have, but for me it's long!)

In this dream there's a girl I will refer to as M., because of privacy reasons.

Quote:
-- My dream --

The dream started out with me being in some kind of building. It was a school building.

I was in my room in that building, checking M.'s profile and I noticed that there it said "Blocked" next to her name. I checked my preferences, but I had not blocked her at all. Then I saw it was a simple image made with a generator. Later, I found this generator and messed around with it a little.

I went on a little stroll together with M. in the enormous and beautiful park behind the building. In the park was a huge lake, lots of trees, lots of grass and several walkways. M. said she wanted to show me something. She took me to a part of the park which was hers.

That part of the park had a wooden fence around it. We leaned on the fence. In her park were several nice trees in a variety of colors. I noticed that I had some control over her park. I didn't have to touch the trees, but by looking at them and making gestures with my hand I could move and rotate them. I looked at a purple tree and made circles with my index finger, and it started rotating. If I'd move my hand up and down, the leaves and the branches would move accordingly.

Further away in M.'s park there was a big German shepherd and when it saw me it started running my way. "Look out", M. said, "or else he might bite you", to which I said, "Don't worry, I'm good with dogs". When the dog got close, it jumped up and leaned on the fence. The dog looked happy. I smiled and petted the dog on its head. The dog had thick and warm fur. Then he turned around and let me caress his back.

M. and I were standing next to each other, leaning on the fence, but then we took a step closer to each other. I heard and felt her breath, and then she suddenly gave me a kiss on my cheek, close to my lips. I was astounded by this event. After a small pause, I laughed nervously and laughingly said "What was that?". With that same sort of laugh, M. said "We were both getting in the mood".

Then I suddenly was back in my room in the building. I got a text message on my phone. It was from M.. "I'll count down from 500" it said. I laughed about the message, and ran out of my room. I got in another room, but I couldn't find the exit. In the room, there was a lady working on a computer. I asked her where the exit was, to which she said "Behind you". I turned around to only see a white wall. "Huh?", I said in confusion. "Turn more to the right", she said. I turned a little more and saw a doorway. I quickly thanked the woman and ran off.

From there I got into a big, unlit room. There was light coming from left and right. I decided to go right, and got into another big room, albeit it was somewhat smaller. The room had white walls, and in this room there was a man playing on his drum on an elevated platform. When I looked around the corner, I saw a little black video camera and a video screen. The man was recording himself. On the video screen, there was material of what seemed a kart game with lots of different game characters, including Solid Snake, Mario, Bowser and Link.
On the other side of the room, there was another doorway. I wanted to go there, but I didn't want to disturb the drumming man, so I decided to wait for a while. After a little while I got a little impatient though and decided I wanted to go to the other side. However, I found that I already was on the other side. And so I went on.

I got into a long hallway that I remembered to be the big hallway where you first get into when you enter the building. I knew that the entrance/exit was at the end of this hallway. In the hallway, there were two groups of at least three people practicing with their trumpets. However, they were not practicing regular trumpet music. In fact, they were practicing how to blow on a trumpet so that it would explode and metal pieces would fly into the direction the trumpeter was facing.

I ran towards the first group and they started blowing their trumpets at me. Their trumpets exploded and metal pieces were flying into my direction. I managed to dodge only a few and most of them hit me. It hurt quite a bit, but it didn't stop me from running. The same happened with the second group, which was standing further away. They also blew their trumpets at me and again I got hurt. But then there was the exit. Right before I took the exit on the right, I caught a glimpse or the big white lit letters on the wall left of me. It said "Choreography".

I was outside the building and took the walkway on the left, and took another left to get behind the building. I came across the huge lake and saw an enormous stone giant standing on a small boat in the water. The boat was just big enough for his feet. While his appearance should've been intimidating, I kept running and took another left.

Now I was back where I was before. There was the lake on the right, and a hill on the left. M.'s park was up on the hill, so I started to walk up the hill and so I got back to her park, where M. was waiting for me in a gray winter coat.

She looked at me with a smile and said, "I don't know if I'm ready yet, but if we both give it some pushes in the right direction, this will work out just fine". I smiled back at her and nodded. I remembered the kiss from before and I wanted to kiss her, but then remembered that I had just eaten breakfast and I felt muesli in the corners of my mouth. I chose not to kiss her, because that would've probably been disgusting.

M. leaned on the fence again and sighed. "My father doesn't want me to have a tattoo", she said, "but it will just have to be that way". "Hmmm..", I said, after which the dream came to an end.

-- End --

What a great dream! Don't you just love long, epic, detailed dreams.

As far as interpreting - I believe I get a lot of information in my dreams but they're tailor-made for me. As are yours. Dream dictionaries can give you some clues of standard symbolism but ultimately you need to dissect your dream into isolated objects and events, then think about the meaning that each object or event conveys to you.

One thing that holds true in many dreams is that everyone and everything represented is often just another part of you. Even when actual real people are represented. Think about what part of you that person could be standing in for.

Indeed, I love dreams like this. I've had dreams like this one before, and I like to call them 'experiencing-dreams', because somehow they are so much clearer, it's just like the real world.

In the first post I somehow didn't mention I have a thing for M. I really like her and care about her. I don't dream a lot about her, surprisingly.

I'm still trying to kind of figure out what it could mean. I thought of some things though.
Someone's park/garden could be precious to someone. You wouldn't just let someone mess around with your garden. I think that to have the privileges to change someone's garden could mean that the owner of that garden trusts you. However, the fence around the garden could be a symbol of not being sure, keeping a distance. This kind of translates back to what's happening in the real world.
There was also a dog protecting the garden. When I think of a dog, I think of loyalty, but also of guarding something. Since the dog liked me, I think this could mean that I'm not a dangerous person to M. and her garden. I'd like to believe that

I'm not too sure what to think about the kiss. I think I'll keep it the way it is, because it could've just been.. eh.. lust
I believe the countdown and the trial of obstacles could translate back very well. The countdown could mean the choice of taking action or not, and that I shouldn't wait.
I don't know what the drumming man resembles (maybe only for background music? :P), but not wanting to cross the camera could mean that I am afraid to be seen/discovered.
Trumpets make a loud noise. Loud noise also could be related to anger, thus maybe people will be angry with me and they might say things that will hurt me. Not stopping there could stand for having made a decision and staying with my choice.
What's with the stone giant coming my way? I'm not sure, but I do know it wanted to stop me. I can't relate it to anyone in the real world... If there's anyone who could be a giant it would be me, since I'm the tallest of the family

Well, that's what I can think of :P What do you think? xP

No kidding! Yeah, I got that idea from your dream.

Also about the park consider it's a place of tranquility, of escape. The first thing I associate with a dream garden is growth. I also think it's significant that you had the power to create change and performance in your friend's garden.

The idea of barrier certainly comes to mind. Are you erecting barriers to the growth you wish to achieve?

I agree. A guarding, yet friendly dog. Loyalty, protection, acceptance, happiness...

I think you're right about this - seems to be a reciprocal exchange of affection.

The other symbols that seem like they may be significant (and my suggestions of possible meanings) -

School - learning experiences, life lessons

Exits - looking for a way out

Hallways - life paths, life transitions

Rooms - exploring, discovering

Doorways - new opportunities

Drums - rhythm

Trumpets - often used to signal something, to get your attention (maybe a warning of some sort? Especially since they shot things at you?)

Choreography sign - Signs in dreams are often just that - SIGNS. So what does a sign that says Choreography mean? Art of dance? Planning your dance (of life)? Creating movement?

Stone Giant - strength, dominance

Yeah.. I've liked her since I've first had a conversation with her, which was more than half a year ago. Gee. More than half a year ago. Am I patient or what? XD
I'm just hoping she'll have some time left for a little date this vacation~

Hmm... Tranquility and escape. Well, I guess that resonates with me. I like tranquility, it's my nature to be calm. In tranquility I find that I can also escape to forget about worries, time and other things.
Yeah, I found the control I had to be quite interesting as well. I hope that doesn't mean I'm being dominant though... Nah, I'm too much a sissy for that

Hmmmm... Well, that depends. Does the fact that I never told her I like her count as a barrier?

Those are very interesting, although I can't quite place them all :P I'm certainly not a dancer! I have been thinking about planning things out though. Mainly about how to get to M.
I wouldn't know what the trumpets would warn me about though. Well, maybe just a little "issue" that has to do with numbers..

Maybe, if I get lucid tonight (which hasn't happened to me for about a year ), I'll pay a visit to my subconscious and do a little interview concerning this dream.
