Question Who massaged my feet during my sleep paralysis?

Hey... didn't wanna hijack the "Sleep Paralysis - What's the cause? "-thread so opened this one...

So I just had my first sleep paralysis in 9 months (coincidence after joining this forum?!) and this experience were different from the other ones I've had.

First of all, when it happened, i immedialtely started thinking of what Erin wrote (in ""Sleep Paralysis - What's the cause?") - that i should focus on another room, so I did. But this was very hard. It was hard to focus. Then I tried imagining myself up the roof.... Didn't work. During this state - for the first time - I saw an eye in front of me - size of a childrens head. I've never seen anything in this state - only having it all black.
Not only this, but I also started feeling someone touching/massaging my feet . I have sensed a being watching me during this state - but not actually touching me!!
This made me very uncomfortable so I opened my eyes and tried to "break loose" from the experience, which worked...

So...what does this mean??

First the eye, then the massage ... :-s

An evil entity?
Imagination?

things talk to and touch me all the time during sleep paralysis. I have a couple of theories but nothing conclusive. First, I think it could be a conscious entity on another plane intersecting and interacting with you. Second, it could be a hallucination (your brain firing off impulses in the synapses that register touch when in fact there is no stimulus).

What I wouldn't give for a good, nocturnal foot massage.

I've felt a bodily presence in bed with me a couple of times when there was no one physically there. They always seemed connected to my dreams, though. And never freaked me out in a scary way. Just in a startled way.

Uh... that was me. You snore, didja know that?

I've never had any physical sensations with sleep paralysis other than the occasional heaviness in the chest. But it doesn't happen very often. I imagine it's some sort of physical hallucination somehow tied in with the common feelings of dread and fear that often accompanies sleep paralysis.

Once I could have sworn something slapped me on the bottom of my foot. A massage would have been a whole lot nicer, lol.

Question Scared $%$%less

I don't know what is massaging your feet, but I have had some strange experiences during sleep paralysis also.

I had a co-worker of Asian descent tell me that they believe that the spirits are sitting on you. I don't know if that is true or not, but the time before last I felt a presence sit on my bed. The bed actually sunk in where "it" was sitting. I used all my might to try to will myself to move. It took everything I had. I finally was able to get my arms to move and I pushed "it" off the bed. "It" hit the floor with a loud thud. I was freaked out for a couple of days!

My last experience was a little different. My entire body has always been paralyzed during an episode, but this time it felt as if someone or something was literally pulling back the skin on my face as hard as it could. I thought my skin was going to rip off.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

I get foot massages all the time in sleep paralysis. Get back massages and shoulder a lot too. Thats one of the more pleasant hallucinations I get regularly. Others are not so pleasant (i.e. an electrical syringe in the spine cord isn't a very pleasant experience lol).

A while back I remember I "woke up" then felt like I couldn't get out of bed.. like someone was physically holding me down. I also couldn't move my head to the left and I actually said out loud 'who are you'.. also I could move my fingers a little and felt like there were two different hands holding me (one holding each hand)..

I actually had no idea what this was.. is that sleep paralysis? I'm new to all this lol I do know it was morning already.. I had a good night sleep, woke up at 7am and went back to sleep. Then woke again about 8am, or thought I did, and this happened. I fell back to sleep after that and then woke again a few minutes later and I still couldn't move.. I was shaking afterwards, it terrified me.

I have felt something grab my arm and also try and bite me on the back. But it was strange because it did not hurt, I just felt the pressure. Whatever it was I could also hear. It was laughing at me and kept telling me it was going to eat me. Amazingly enough I didn't freak out. I quickly started praying for protection and asked my angels to please come and clear out any negative energies out of my room. It worked. The experience actually left me feeling powerfull and no longer afraid of astral projection.

Question

I was tackled and slammed into my bed a few nights ago, i just all the sudden started having these OBEs. Im scared to death. Did i astral project ? Felt like i got yanked out of my body the first time then i got spun around my room like a top. Now my baby cant sleep and my wife seems mean as hell. Any help would be great before i lose my mind. All i got down is the white light meditation and i have had only one OBE since (and i wasnt tossed around i just floated around and bumped my head on the ceiling till i fought my way back in my body)then thank god but my poor baby is still screaming mad completely out of line with his previous schedule, seems like something is really bothering him at night, would chalk it up as coincidence except that my wife is screaming at me for little stuff everyday now too like my whole house has gone to hell.

Yeah thats sleep paralysis alright. Feeling hands grabbing you and holding you down is a very common hallucination. I get sleep paralysis every night. I've been having more extreme bouts of it in the past 2 days though. Usually I pull myself out of paralysis 4 or 5 times then its over for the night. Last night and the night before I just kept going back into sleep paralysis so I just stop resisting it and went with it. Last night I lay there until visuals started. I was admiring all the crazy scenery and stuff that was popping up and I noticed old memories were resurfacing, memories I had long forgotten. At one point I started smelling latex gloves and I had the impression I was in a dentists office. It was a very unpleasant sensation though, the smell of latex gloves was very strong and I started remembering surgeries and stuff were I was supposedly asleep under anesthesia but was really only paralysed. I got the sense of some kind of evil presence and then I heard a voice behind me say "Come to me" in a slow, whispering voice like the kinda thing people hear in horror films. This scared me so I pulled myself out of paralysis. I realised I was sleeping on my hands and that day I was wearing latex gloves at lab at college so that would explain the smell lol. Interestingly enough, I washed my hands thoroughly that day and couldn't smell them while awake. I obviously had heightened sensitivity to smell while in sleep paralysis.

I get this a lot too. I feel a dog biting my hands or feet but it doesn't hurt, it feels more like a dog playfully biting me. It actually feels good. I used to love sleep paralysis, it never scared me at all but I watched this documentary:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPMUz8RAjks
now every time I go into SP I think about this and get scared lol. It never used to scare me cuz I thought it was just some natural part of sleep like dreaming but sometimes I'd pull myself out of paralysis thinking "what the ♥♥♥♥ just happened" because it can be so intense. Like I said, I get it every night so I have had a lot more time to experiment with it than most people. Whether its scary or fun depends entirely on how you look at it. When you remember it can't hurt you and just relax, it becomes great fun. Kinda like an insane, hallucinatory rollercoaster.

Jeez on one hand the experience terrified me and on the other I kinda want to experience it again now lol

For a n00b, can someone explain shortly if anyone knows what causes this? I don't remember anything out of the ordinary that happened that day..

Lightbulb

I personally feel sleep paralysis is hallucinations. For me sleep paralysis happens right before I have an OBE. When I realize what is happening I immediately start praying if the hallucination is negative. That always solves my problems, then I just focus on leaving my body and having an OBE. Personally I feel we have nothing to fear but fear itself. If you believe in something and put your energy into it then you give it life. So, think happy thoughts.
