So I was looking outside and I saw there was a package in the mailbox so I went outside and somehow found out it was a dream so I started flying around a bit and then I went into a random house to explore/interact with dream characters and then after a while I woke up. Then I got up and saw that there was a package in the mailbox so I went outside to get it and discovered that I was dreaming so I went into another house for a while and then woke up and it went on like this for about 6 times.

There's really a name for this huh? Funnily enough, after reading this forum I always have weird experiences or dreams... When I read this, I was instantly reminded of a dream I had a couple of weeks ago that absolutely terrified me. My alarm had gone off, and as usual I rolled back over to get another 10 mintues of precious sleep. I woke up and walked into my ensuite, looked around, and realised it wasn't my ensuite. At this stage I knew I was dreaming and walked back to my bedroom, lay down in bed and woke up again. After a couple of times of this, I realised I was still dreaming and wasn't waking up. Then I went back to my bed and this time I could see myself lying in bed. I slapped my face a couple of times with no luck, and then my boyfriend walked into the room. I knew he'd already left for work so I was definitely dreaming, ergo I woke up again. By this time I was getting quite frustrated. The next time I woke up, I was in a totally different room, and an African-american lady was getting ready for work. I tried to talk to her, but she didn't seem to be listening. I was yelling at her, but she didn't look at me, so i tapped her on the shoulder. She turned around, screamed and ran out. All i remember after that was flying around screaming at people "why can't I wake up? Help me damn it!" with only a high-pitched whining sound coming out and being very angry, chasing people around an apartment building and making them scream. Then, very sad that nobody helped me, I went to lie on the bed crying. Then I actually woke up. I tell you, in that moment the breeze blowing on my skin was the best feeling ever! Funnily enough, my cheek was stinging and my throat was scratchy. The whole thing only took around 11 minutes, but the whole time I was thinking, I have to wake up and go to work. It was terrible, I hope I don't have something like that again. More to the point, I hope it was just a dream and I wasn't really flying around terrifying poor americans! |

Next time that happens instead of trying to wake up or get someone's attention, that's when you launch into super dream mode. Have your dream ready to go. Mine is usually an all out X-Men battle and sometimes it's just some private time with the boys from Supernatural. Either way, those are the times to jump into super god mode and have the dream you want the most!

When I was younger I had a lot of nightmares, just horror. And after a while I developed a technique IN my dream to become awake, so I didn't have to get through the whole nightmare anymore. In my dream I would decide I didn't want it anymore, and then really tightly I would close my eyes and then after a few seconds I would open them. Thinking about it, it's quite strange I knew I was dreaming then and could stop it, since I'm mostly not aware of dreaming these days. But I would use this when for example a lot of people with knives and weapons would run after me. I would just stop, close my eyes (would also stop having pains I would normally have when they would hit me) and then open them. And most of the time it worked instantly, sometimes I needed a few tries. |

when i was little, i remember being in nightmares, and being lucid, but i hadnt even heard of any thing like lucid dreaming or astral projection, so it scared the crap out of me, knowing i was dreaming, not being able to wake up, and getting attacked by your worst fears is alot for a kid to handle, thats alot for anyone to handle, young or old. but now i get it and know what to do next time it happens, wich is, in the words of erin pavlina, shoot lasers out of my hands and blast my foes. now i want it to happen again. cool! x men battle royal!!!!!
