Is This An Astral Projection?

I was laying on my couch one night just relaxing and enjoying the quietness. After just a couple minutes I felt a cool tingling sensation on the top of my head, kind of like a vibration. The next thing I know I am rising up to the ceiling. It was pretty dark in the room so I couldn't see myself but the moonlight was shining through the window and I could see my cat sitting on the window sill above my couch looking out of the window...

It only lasted about 5 seconds because I got a little creeped out so I fell back down and when I sat up I seen my cat sitting in the same place at the window.

I haven't told to many people about it... the ones have told just say "oh you just fell asleep and had a dream." But it's one of those things that you know you weren't dreaming or sleeping.

It hasn't happened since and it was over a year ago now. Not sure I really want it to after staying up all night reading Erins' blog about vampires and other goblins

I read somewhere that lucid dreaming is connected to astral projection, that when you learn to lucid dream it is easier to project. I do lucid dream often but not really any kind of master at it.
