A couple of years ago we ran an experiment on a forum, we tried to identify an item that someone had placed on their computer. We had some very close hits, for the first one I got closet by saying the right colour. When I first tried to connect I saw squares of red and white, then second guessed myself thinking what man would have red and white squares on his computer but did think it was a toy. I just mentioned the colour. Turned out it was a rubick's cube with the red and white side visible. When I posted something one guy told me he saw dolphins in a line, told him he needed to get out of my bathroom and come down the hall

, he then came back with something that looked like an elephant. It was actually a school bus lunchbox BUT just looking at the shape, it could be mistaken for an elephant especially from where I was sitting.

For anyone who wants to try I have placed an object on the shelf above this computer. Try to guess the object, colour or anything about it. Go with your first thought, any word or object that comes to mind as you read this. I am looking at it as I type this.

Go for it!

I am in Australia if that helps, the original experiment was based in England and one thing I remember from the connection was sensing and seeing that I was flying very quickly over ocean - the image was quite strong.

I see a gold bell, but this is my second image. My first was a tape measure - a yellow box shape.

Sorry no, though it wouldn't surprise me if both were in here - think our tape measure is green. No Blue elephants either, not got one of those. Gave up drinking so haven't seen the pink kind either.

Saw a small statue, Grover, the color blue and then a wave machine for a desk moving up and down like a see-saw.

Yea. Definitely some kind of statue or figurine, with the color blue.
What i have thought to be an elephant could be some kind of indian godess or something.

Sorry no to all.

BUT the answers - blue elephant, indian goddess sounds a bit like Ganesh but he's a god. Maybe he is perched on my shelf, wouldn't doubt it, I particularily feel drawn to Ganesh. Ooh and I did a past life regression yesterday in it I was a woman wearing a sari - not like the regular saris that I see ladies wearing this one seemed much grander.

I'll give you a hint it is a bright colour and is a very simple object

Just googled Ganesh and that's the picture i had in mind.
A figure fronting the spectator with a beak. I said elephant because of the beak but i was seeing more of a humanoid creature - just like that Ganesh dude.

Sorry no but it's not a statue or humanoid in shape - it's a very basic simple item - one colour.

I get something round. An orb of some sort? And the color blue but maybe I was picking that up from all the blue guesses I hadn't read yet! So, now I'm cluttered about the color.

I saw something bluish purple, like one of those plush flowers, but then it's all one colour so it's probably not a flower. I still feel like it's cushiony though, so I'm going with a small, bluish-purple cushion.

Ok LOLA had the closest answer, but for the colour.

The item is a green balloon.

How many people just went "DUH! I saw something like that" but then second guessed themselves or didn't post?

Anyone else want to post something to be guessed at?

I guessed a brown paper sack that was twisted...

I think there were tissues in it.

I am very odd. But I did correctly guess Mysterygal's name (well, partially).

Well, I am putting an object on top of my computer. Guess what it is!

D'oh! When you said blue wasn't the right color, I did get green. But also orange, yellow...

But I got the "orb" part right. Cool.
