 |  I felt the presence of evil
Twice in my life I have had an experience which I would like to share. I would be very grateful if someone with some experience in the paranormal/psychic things could try and explain what I felt. The first time I experienced this was in my mid twenties when I was living in Zürich, Switzerland. I woke up in the middle of the night to a feeling that I can only describe as fear and being aware of the presence of pure evil. I realized that the only thing that I could do was pray, which I did. Gradually the feeling subsided and I dropped off back to sleep again. About 10 years later,back in South Africa, I again had the same feeling of fear and awareness of evil. This time also having woken up from sleep. Again I prayed for protection and eventually the feeling went away. Both times I was alone. That last time was about 15 years ago and I have never felt it ever again. The question I ask is: was this from inside myself, or was it an external source? I would really appreciate some help here. L  |

Sounds a bit like a waking dream. On the east coast of Canada, they call this "the hag," whereby the person feels an immense sense of dread and maybe even a pressure on their chest. I'm not sure of the physiological details, but it's got something to do with sleep paralysis whereby the body is asleep but the brain is awake.

I believe fear is the source of evil and you must have felt both very strongly. I would think your own fears sponsored the presence of evil, especially as the experience was from within and not actually in physical reality. Quote:

I've experienced this while being around a specific person... it happened twice actually......... the effect was physical for me... i felt panicy and felt pressed in on...... like if i was being pressured from all around me it was horrible........i don't know what it was ....... but i do believe this person has a dark side , in fact i know this person does |

Fear is the primary energy that dark entities feed off, especially during nightly astral adventures. If they can squeeze more fear out of you they'll often stick around in the room. Keep in mind, negative thought forms are also attracted to fear as are wandering discarnates of low vibration. Some good tips that work for many people, before you go to sleep surround yourself in a bubble of white light from the holy spirit, infuse yourself with it. As you astral travel you'll be a huge beam of holy light and scare off any negs. (whether you are conscious of this or not, if not, you'll notice better nights sleep!) When I consciously travel I do this, and some of the experiences are amazing. You can literally "Explore" and watch the neg denizens run in horror as you walk into their villages and realms. Don't feel bad for them, they are negs, they prey on peoples negative energy as a food source. Forgive them, bless then, and send them on their way. |

Thank you so much everyone for your responses. I've come to the conclusion that what I experienced must have been what cdn2wheeler describes as "the hag" - nighttime paralysis. My body was rigid. I couldn't move at all. The evil presence was real though. Rahzad - your description of neg denizens certainly sent shivers down my spine - literally. A prayer of protection before sleep is a good idea. L |
