A question about my experience

I just started dabbling in the psychic realm recently, so I'm still a novice and I apologize in advance if my questions seem very obvious.

I have a question regarding an experience I had today. I guess I'll describe it first:

I was talking to my father when my heart started beating irregularly. I felt uneasy, so I decided to meditate to clear any imbalances. I hadn't meditated for very long, perhaps about 5 minutes, when my vision became blurred and my mind started spinning. I felt nauseous, and my immediate reality seemed contorted.
I went outside to try and walk off the feeling. My mind vacilliated between this state and a very temporary state of lucidity. As I walked though, I noticed something I've never experienced before. I felt a jolt of energy between my shoulder blades and along my spine. I'd look around and notice a person that I didn't percieve through my other senses. I thought it was just a coincidence but each time I felt the jolt, I'd look around and sure enough there would either be a person somewhere in my vicinity or a car approaching. I think this is some heightened form of the sixth sense, but I'm not quite sure what to make of it. Also at one point I felt a force pulling my face back followed but an increased sense of conciousness. Later on I felt a sort of energy surrounding me.


My concern is whether I did something wrong in meditation or is the naseous feeling normal? Also I would deeply appreciate it if anyone could explain this experience to me.

What I would advise is to make sure you are properly grounding your energy. The way I do this is to pretend I am a tree and send my roots deep into the Earth. Then imagine a beam of energy shooting throuth me and coming out the roots. My husbands imagines the energy as if it was a dropping water table moving through his body. Then he deposites the energy in the Earth's core.

I have had experiences similar to yours, and usually it is because I am not grounded.

What I have found is people fear that if they ground their energy and do not feel this spacey feeling, then their psychic sences will go away. This spacey feeling is not needed to be psychic. It is a negative side effect of ungrounded energy.

I don't know much about psychic experience or grounding, but I do know that as consciousness nears enlightenment and the ego gets weakened, the sense of local/personal identity decreases and becomes more and more nonlocal. I've had some nausea/spacey/nonlocal experiences, and I think it's just glimpses of what it's like when the personal ego reality starts to disappear. From what I've heard from other people further along the path, it's disorienting at first, switching from everything being oriented to the frame of reference of somewhere in the middle of your head, to nonlocality, but you get used to it

I have had experiences like you describe too, ethereal. It feel totally different than what I believe Ecstasy is talking about. You are right about it being disorienting. I always described it as feeling like the rug had been pulled out from under me. But, it is more of a mental feeling than a physical feeling. It feels like my energy feild has expanded to to encompass the whole universe, not like I'm floating around inside my aura.
