hi everone, i'm new to the forum! my name is AJ. ~ I just had a deja vu, and what do they mean? I really want to know because, I don't think they're just random, and it must be some kind of significance. I almost NEVER got deja vus. Maybe like once every many years! Until starting last month, I've been getting them a couple times a week. What does this mean, that I never got them before and all of a sudden am getting a lot more? Well, I am going through the most significant period in my life ever right now. So maybe that's why? But then, the real question is, what am I supposed to be doing with these deja vus? Do I pay attention to what I was thinking right before? Or what happened right before? Or, does it just mean I'm on the right track? Just confused at this big-time in my life.~~~ Too bad I didn't keep track of all the other times I had deja vus this month, but I'll remember the one that I just had. Any help would be appreciated! |

It's a peculiar and sometimes troubling feeling, but don't spend a lot of time concerning yourself over it. The experience of deja vu comes from within the temporal lobes of your brain, and under the right conditions can actually be artificially induced in the laboratory. While it may seem odd or even supernatural, the fact is that it's an electrochemical response that takes place entirely within your head.

This is an interesting theory, Erin, but saying that one can "remember" the future means that it is already written, so that basically, the Universe is deterministic, and that in turns, we have no free will whatsoever.

No it means that time is not linear.

| Quote: Your theory is good, erin, but I prefer trinity's theory. "TRINITY: A deja vu is usually a glitch in the Matrix. It happens when they change something." Since both theories can't be proven nor disproven, i take the one that looks cooler

Don't worry, not offended. Me and Trinity go way back... or way forward depending on your perspective.

As much as we hate to admit it, there is only a finite number of ways our lives can go. It's a BIG finite number, but still finite. Therefore it is perfectly logical that everything that has happened, could happen or is going to happen is actualy occuring right now. This is destiny. The free will part comes in the choices we make. If we choose to kill someone, all the multi-dimensional futures in which we hadn't killed someone don't exist - what actually happens (to our perception) is now limited by our actions. We choose our own future. That said, the number of choices and dimensions is so huge we cannot even begin to comprehend it. .................................................. . I have deju vu regularly. I have always meant to keep a journal but somehow within minutes of the deju vu being 'over' I forget exactly what it is that I 'remembered'. I have also had deju vu on top of deju vu - little sequences of life that seem to have happened multiple times, not just once before... It's very very strange and awesome. ~song | |

I'm not sure exactly what deja vu is...Although it happens to me a lot. I would have to agree that you shouldn't worry about it too much...Erin's whole thing with remebering the future cause time doesn't really exist thing make some sense. Maybe you're taping into some of your own psychic powers...Maybe you should try meditating, thats sure to help you get a whole on it, if thats what it is, and since you said you've been having them a lot lately, pyschic development subconsciously could be a possibility....
