does christianity and spritism conflict?

why does bible does not like spritism and paranormal practices?
whats so bad about being guides to the way that benefits you the most and being warned from the way that will cause you harm by tarot card or psychic ?isnt that just a wa of finding your way through life?

I too would like to know the answer, normally I don't speak out about any other religeon because I myself have chosen the spiritual path - which involves accepting everything for what it is.

But I have often seen someone voice their opinion and then in the comments section there will be catholics saying "this is wrong, this can't be, god says no, repent for your sins, you cannot go to heaven unless you accept jesus' love, how can you live like this, it isnt in the bible so it can't be true, are you a friend of satan?" .... Are these just the hardcore christian's or what? I think it would be a very sad way to live, always emitting hatred and living in fear that some other religeon is going to take over yours, and trying to convert other people against their own will

The Truth is, that these (organized Religions) have sought to suppress the teachings of the real Jesus. They use many of his words, and they use his name, and his image, but then they turn around, and interpret/define all those things to you, and for you, in order to lead you by the nose, as opposed to setting you free. They enslave you. Put boundaries and limits all around you. They've manipulated, and misconstrued the Bible, in such a way, as to take you around and around in circles.
Apart from what is recorded as Jesus' actual story, and sayings, I don't even read what PAUL, and the others preach, as many of the things they preached was after Jesus' death, and their isn't any record of Jesus saying these things. Example: Paul didn't even know Jesus, and came into the movement after Jesus' death, and claimed this big personal relationship with Jesus, and even promoted himself, as being a better follower of Jesus than those that had actually walked, and talked with Jesus. They couldn't outright out do the true christians, so they infilterated them, and rose to the top, and then could stear the entire movment. But, the secret Jesus taught was a secret for a good reason. It survived. It has resurrected, and is being revealed to those who have been seeking. "SEEK, and you shall find". "ASK, and you shall receive". "KNOCK, and it will be open to you". "THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE".

In regards to 'what is real', I don't know, not that evolved.
In regards to 'opinions people hold', you betcha baby! Conflict almighty!
If Jesus lived he was probably cool, I'd hang with him.
But if he didn't there is still lots of love in humanity.

In my opinion, it depends. If you're trying to use tarot cards, Ouija boards, or other stuff like that to try and contact God, you're wasting your time because you don't need to use a third party to contact God.

I believe once you have invited God to live in you (accepted Jesus), he is there for you, a small still quiet voice ever speaking to you. I often pray God will give me ears to hear him. I believe to look to other sources is idolatry. Once you have accepted Jesus, you are forever changed from that moment and he is your idol, the one you worship. I sympathize (with looking to other sources) as we often get impatient, "I want an answer NOW!" when, in fact, God ALWAYS answers you, sometimes the answer is "Wait." This is a difficult answer when you want the answer NOW, when you have something pressing on your heart. I believe that's when you surrender your burdens to God, "Let go and Let God." HE will give you what you need. HE is the only ONE who will give you what you need.
I had an experience when I was 7 or 8 with a friend's Ouiji (sp) board that said I would die at age 15 because of murder . .
I believe God loves you exactly where you're at, practicing non-Christian like things or not.
I am aware this is a highly controversial statement but it is my truth . .
I believe when you have accepted God in life, you have succeeded.
HE will take you from there.
I do not see myself above anyone else, he created us all in his image and we all have the opportunity to be used as an instrument of his truth, love, and light.

I'm going to take the liberty to answer a question that was not aimed at me . .

The secret is Faith.
God loves you and designed you just right for his plan.
Having faith that this is true and that there is significance, a purpose for your life and you find it by following the lords voice.
You hear the lords voice by inviting him into your life, inviting the holy spirit to live in you and speak through you.

That's pretty much aligned with my beliefs.
The way I see the Lord's voice is my own true voice or connection to the divine, as above so below, the god within. This may not be what you mean, but it's my way, we are a part of god to me.

This is my take on this matter.

From reading the bible, I think those people back then had a very different world view from us. Not only did they belief in spirits but because of their shared subjective reality, all of them could easily perceive spirits. You'll come across stories in the bible where people just "cried out" and they would start seeing super-normal beings.

People who're into occult stuff should know that women are most fluid (in manipulating perception) during her monthly period. I think that's the reason why in the Bible (OT), all menstruating women were required to be saperated from the rest of the population during this time. It's to prevent them from influencing others, causing the whole population to "freak out".

To answer yasi_joy's question, I think people in this age are more solid and it's time people rediscover their "paranormal" abilities but then the Bible is a holy book and people tend to respect what's holy
