Your Personal Development Blog

If you have your own blog on personal development or know of other good ones, please let me know as I would love to read it. I'm always up for new material. (I don't think Steve would mind :p )

Mine is in my signature... Unfortunately, it is down right now, 'cause I'm hosting it at home, and I'm at work... It'll be back up in about an hour, though.

One that I really enjoy is Druid Journal, owned by Jeff Lilly (That's his profile on these boards... send him a PM if you like his work. ;) )

Henry 11-13-2006 11:46 PM

Not as broad as Personal Development but mine focuses on financial development.

Here it is @ Binary Dollar.

I only really discovered blogs in September. Ive started one but haven't told people about it yet as I want gather my thoughts and organise plans in terms of what I want to do.

I do see it as a significant part of my personal development in the next 12 to 24 months. Anyways it doesnt contain much, but its a great start I feel;

Successful? Why, yes I am.

I can't claim to have as much personal success as Steve has had, but it's been an amazing learning journey for me creating this blog. As Merlin Mann of 43 Folders would say, he writes about productivity not because he's so kick-ass great at it, but because he isn't.

These are some great blogs! I can see I won't be getting much "real" work done tomorrow...

Adam, thanks for the kind words. You've got a wonderful site; the only gripe I have is that you don't post enough. :) Why don't you take some of the amazing postings you've put on this forum and work them up into blog entries? You've got material for weeks already!

Besides askTrina.com, I like to check out Slade's Shift Your Spirits (http://www.1stpersonpress.com/shift-your-spirits/).

...I was going to try to describe Slade's site here, but I lack the vocabulary. Just go on over. :)

You're welcome, and thank you. :) The only reason why I'm not putting more of my posts here in my blog (although, I am noting the questions that are asked most frequently) is because I have another long one coming up soon on the topic of Peace.

Once that adsense check comes in, I'll be able to justify taking over the blog to my wife, which means I'll have more time to spend on it... That check is getting closer, and I can almost taste it. ;)

My Blog has a different angle to personal development. It talks about the source knowledge by which all self-help is based upon.

Here it is at Secrets of Mind and Reality

songwriter 11-14-2006 11:45 AM

I don't have such a thing. I have some theories that I've been writing all my life but not online, some appear in my songs, one way or another.
But songwriters are similar to PD people. Well, some songwriters ;).
But I don't want to post here a link to some of my songs, I would feel like a spamming musician or so...
Anyway it's not personal development but self-expressing.

Yeah, I have a blog that's focused somewhat on PD, and here's the link: Here Well, it's very focused on living the way I live, but you can most likely take many ideas from it...

fontduroy 11-14-2006 01:54 PM

I've just started my blog, and it is in my signature also. It is part PD, part humor, part introspections on life, and part journal. I am still working on the layout and only have a few posts so far.

Feel free to leave feedback and tell me what you think!

i like this thread... i enjoy looking at others' PD sites. Something that i would like to know from all of you with PD sites is this: how successful is your site? How much traffic do you get? How long have you had the site? Do you have any tips/tricks that helped you get to where you are now? and finally, was your PD site inspired by stevepavlina.com?-that is... would it be in existence if you never found this site?

thanks

Steve definitely influenced me to start a blog. Right now my aim is not to attract traffic, because I am not yet contributing to it on a regular basis. I want to get into a rythm first with my own thoughts and PD which I'll document into the blog, and then I'll focus on getting more people aware of my blog.

Become Irresistible and Invincible: WOW

Hi Jwinn,

you can find and enjoy my regular takes and hints at WOW.

Inspiration comes from the often all too obvious, the little things that only a stranger's eye is able to notice and recognize. Hidden beyond anger and pride, fear and shame, are the seeds for the most beautiful creations imaginable. It takes time and practice and -- some say sweat, blood, and tears -- but it is always worth the effort.

Here are some articles to give you a glance --
  1. Understand Pain to Train More Efficiently
  2. How to Motivate Yourself with One Word
  3. The Transition from Eating Mindlessly to Eating Consciously

To your excellence,
Alexander

drgrudge 11-17-2006 01:31 PM

I'm into PD and always want to look for more sources to get inspired, motivated and get the best of my life.

I like these PD blogs:
1. Steve Pavlina
2. Scott H Young
3. Ririan Project
4. Dave Cheong (It's not updated for a long time now)
5. Mohit Powar

Now after seeing this thread and going through some blogs, I seem to like

My personal development blog

I recently started a blog called holisitc-personal-development-blog, dealing with the subjects of consciousness, leadership, communication, and abundance.

My intention is to add an article to it every day. I find that it has been helpful for me to do this writing because it forces me to go within and focus on higher levels of thought and energy.Personal Development with Holistic Focus

Milo Riano 11-17-2006 01:32 PM

Mine is my signature and I focus on management, leadership and personal development to become a successful CEO of a very large IT company someday with a rags to success story.

My blog converted to an ezine

Unfortunately, I just took down my blog because I decided to go for the ezine instead. And in the meantime, I'm overhauling my website to include backlogs of ezine, a new blog and a Free Report entitled: The Power of Creating a LifeVision. (If interested in the report or the ezine, private message me)

There's a link to my website in my siggy, but here's a direct link to my specialty: Creating LifeVisions as an application to the Law of Attraction.

Life coaching using LifeVision

There are a couple of samples in the side bar.

Thanks for sharing your blogs....I've checked out many and I'm impressed !

:)

Dating Specialist 11-17-2006 03:35 PM

Well, although mine is not really considered a PD blog, but I do sneak in a little bit here and there.

But, I do add in lots of PD flavours in my post as one of my purpose is to empower people to develop themselves so they can have a better and successful relationship and a happy and fulfilling love life.

You can check it out - Love and Marriage | Dating & Relationships: Kloudiia’s Kit: Dating Affairs
