When I first started in practice, things were rough and slow… no one was breaking down my door to get in… so, I was told that I should take some motivational seminars… Great, I said to myself… I’m starving and I should take some motivational seminars… but being at the end of my rope… I followed the suggestion… (been hooked ever since.) And, one of the most important thing that I learned was to see everyone that I met as someone would could greatly benefit from my services and that the person was just dying to get into my office… That changed my whole perception overnight… where I was seeing lack before… I started to see abundance… where I was seeing starvation… I started to see opulence and the key to the “good life.” There is plenty of money in the world… and if you don’t already have as much as you need or want… it’s simply because you are not seeing it… Change your mindset… and change your life… then, you can cry all the way to the bank… . |

That's a great suggestion Shamou! It reminds me of what Jay Abraham says, which Steve talks about in this article: http://www.stevepavlina.com/articles...conscience.htm |

"You must become so convinced of the benefits of your product or service that you feel you'd be unjustly depriving people by not doing everything in your power to get the word out." I have yet to see a successful person who did not live by that credo... . |

Shamou, A question for you... When you experienced a change of mindset and started seeing people with the knowledge that they would benefit from your help did you do this as a "blanket" belief for all people you saw or did you sit down and figure out the type of person (as an ideal) who would get the most from your services? Anything you could say about the specifics of your thinking at this time would be of great interest to me. Thanks! |

But, more important than that, I knew that everyone I met knew someone who needed my services right now... so, I would take out two business cards, hand one to the person who was talking to me... and write the name of that prospective client on the back of the other card and keep that card... That way, I always had a stack of cards with the names of people who needed my services right now... which helped to see, in my mind's eye, a greater pool of potential clients... that way, I was seeing abundance all the time... Advertising yourself can be seen as "pushy" by some people... those people are what I call "prime candidate for the poorhouse..." My very good friend, Donald Trump, sells himself and his products all the time... and I don't see many people looking down on Donald for that... but I do see a great many people who do admire him... PS. - Donald does not know that he's such a good friend of mine (he does not even know that I exist) but I'm certainly not going to let a small detail like that destroy our beautiful friendship... . |

Shamou, that's a wonderful and inspiring post! As for Donald Trump, it's his loss that he doesn't know you yet.

Great insite.... This could possibly be what I'm looking for. When I was looking to attract more relationships I was trying to force myself to have relationships, but still not really truly believing in my "product". Therefore, I've failed many times and have had an extremely hard time attracting people or a relationship of any kind. Now I've realised I must look within myself to find out why "my product" won't sell, and also to dig deep for reasons of why everyone should know and benefit from me. =) |

You're just being modest...I'm sure Donald "claims" you in his list of lunch buddies! |

And then, ask these nice folks to forward that email to everyone on their list... Hey, you're got some great chocolate there... and everyone wants some... . |

Shamou, Thought of one other question. Did you experience an immediate change in your way of thinking or did it take you some time to shift your view and become comfortable "advertising" yourself to others? Okay, one more and that's it I promise! |

| The speed with which you can change your way of thinking... or get yourself to believe almost anything is directly proportional to, "HOW HUNGRY YOU ARE." In my case, I was madly in love... and my lady deserved nothing but the best... I would have walked on hot coal or ate axel grease... I was on fire... I had passion... and with passion... nothing can stop you... In a few months I was earning more per month than I used to earn in one whole year... Anymore questions...??? . |

Should anyone be interested in what “being hungry” means… I would suggest a biography of Arnold Schwarzenegger… From his early teens… the man had a clear vision of what he wanted to be… first, become the greatest bodybuilder in the world and then become an actor like Steve Reeves et all… He was so dedicated that he would train in unheated gyms in Winter times… he would sneak out of his parent’s house to go training… and would always finish his training routine even if it would mean missing the last bus and having to walk four miles in the snow to go back home… His story is one of purpose, visualization, focus, dedication, determination, great achievements and success... ![]() . |
