Anyone care to share how they changed their environment to support their goals? If you haven't read Steve's article on this subject, here is the link: http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/200...of-your-goals/ Here's what I'm doing right now: Fat --> Slim = start keeping organic foods in my fridge at home and at work. Started excersing by creating a 30 day challenge. Drinking water daily. Geek --> Chic = start hanging out with well dressed people and I'm slowly changing what's in my closet. Currenly reading French fashion magazines and fashion blogs to know what the posh styles are. Work Success = reading books on finance, technology and sales (I work in Venture Capital and software) Social --> visiting this forum a lot to be surrounded by people who want to experience personal growth. Stopped hanging around people who are content with the status-quo. I only hang around people I consider to be successful. Home --> moved to a great neighborhood in a excellent part of town. My new neighbors are successful professionals and business owners. Finance ---> sticking to a budget and using a financial planner. Spending a lot of time educating myself about wealth accumulation. Hanging around people who are building businesses and wealth for the future. France --> I'm moving to France in 6 years to work in European Venture Capital, so I'm improving my French daily. I watch French tv, listen to French radio and watch French movies. I also read French finance publications to understand the market better. I'm also interested in investing in emerging markets, so I read publications geared towards global finance. Relationships --> Was in love with a friend, but now I try not to speak with her so much. I seperate myself on purpose to give myself space. I don't feel it's good to constantly think of her and I feel it's more important for me to focus on myself. So that's what I'm doing right now and of course as time goes by I will create more changes. I didn't make all of these changes in one day but in several months. It took me some time to gather up the courage to make these changes, but it's been worth it. Now what's your experience? |
