Default Reading Books and Notes

When I read something, doesn't matter that is a book, an article, or even a podcast I like to take notes with the parts that I liked, and I write on pages quotes that I love.

Is someone here that's doing the same thing ?

Until now I've gathered a lot of interesting stuff that I liked from books, and for those who also take notes I would like to know how often do you review the notes, or what is the purpose for having them ?

Thanks

I do this naturally because I'm a college student and I plan to continue this habit for the rest of my life.

Frankly I usually never use the notes again. Simply writing them helps me memorize them/have them in my mind.

I do the same thing! I always write down quotes (or really, type them up) in a Word file, and then I pull them up daily to look over and think about them.

I also underline, draw little pictures in, and highlight my books to death as well; I find that all helps with remembering the quotes and reading material - plus this acts with the same purpose that notes would (when I review the book, I can reread the whole thing if wanted, or just skim through it reading the underlined/highlighted parts.)
