| My first topic on the forum! So, it's like an icebreaker message in some way. Lately I've been working with my own personal productivity scaffold; I had one before Steve posted on it, but after his post I clarified mine and tweaked it out a bit. I wrote on my blog about morning routines, so I've been thinking a lot about how effective they are. (At least, they were extremely effective for me!) Currently, my morning scaffold consists of a quick breakfast, exercise routine, shower, review of my major goals, and journal exercises (about the day and what I'd like to accomplish). I tend to skip the evening scaffold as my days tend to be a bit unconventional, so it doesn't fit in well. Trying to fit more than 5 things in the first hour and a half of being awake tended to throw me off for the day, as I felt like I was squeezing too much into a short amount of time. All in all, it takes about an hour to an hour and a half to complete, depending on how I'm feeling that day. The morning routine leaves me pretty motivated, and I get quite a bit done the days I use it. So, all in all, it works! Do you have your own scaffold system for the mornings/evenings? What kind of routines did you put in your scaffold? What worked out well, and what didn't? And if you don't have a personal scaffold, why not? So many questions! Let's see if we can get a good debate going.
