Default Amazing Journaling Idea

I was chatting with a successful friend of mine, and the subject of journaling came up. It’s something I’ve struggled with for some time. Yes, the most successful people do it. To me, it seems like more of a chore.
My friend Jason showed me something that is so simple it just might work. He suggested that I use my journaling time to record what I’ve accomplished over the course of a day. His reasoning is as follows:

1) It makes me write
2) It makes me focus on positive things
3) It makes me center my thinking on all I’ve gotten done

In the past, I’ve turned in for the night and thought to myself “I didn’t really do very much today”. Now I have the opportunity to consult my journal and read in my own handwriting how MUCH I really did accomplish and why I should celebrate the day.
Please let me know if this technique is of value!

I think this is a very good idea. It used to be an integral part of my journaling routine. Then everyday achievements became somewhat repetitive, so now I record only something truly outstanding. Besides my todo list serves as a reminder of what I have accomplished during the day.

I've done this on occasion, and it's a good exercise. Think of it like keeping a "done" list instead of a to-do list. It's easy to forget what's been accomplished in the course of a day.

Default hi

The practice of journaling is surely going to benefit u as it increases ur capacity to speak truth. It makes u more expressive and also helps u in learning about ur weaknesses. One can also improve one's daily routine. If own any day u are not able to do something productive then don't let ur spirits down and don't think negative over it.
The habit of journaling makes one more aimful.

TJ,

It may also help with visualization practice i.e. as you drift off to sleep replay part or all of the day's highlights as if you were:

a) an observer of yourself

b) the actual participant.

Sweet dreams ;-)
