Dear all, The last few months I have been trying to organize my life a bit more. Before that, I would just do what I happened to think about. Sometimes this organizational attempt works quite well. In that case I have a few weeks where I plan my days in advance and then execute that plan. But after these few weeks I get tired and start doing as I did before. However, I do notice that planning my time actually is helpful, so after some weeks of disorganization I will try and organize again. However, the periods of disorganization are helpful because during them I discover that the priorities that I set in the previous period of organized life, were not entirely right for me, hence I adjust them for the next period. So it seems that organized periods reach goals (or they would if I kept them up longer) while disorganized ones help improving the goals, because they somehow seem to be more creative. Actually, I think the point might well be that I need to learn to set goals that I actually want to reach. Maybe that will happen more or less by itself after a few more iterations, because I do notice that this proces does lead to better goals. I.e., ones that I actually care about and filters out the ones that really arn't that important. Any recognition/hints/other thoughts? All the best, Chris |
