| Our lives are the sum total of imperfection. Whatever you believe is the source of all life (god, consciousness, universe) it must be very powerful and I'd imagine perfect. Be we aren't perfect and that's the point. This whole life is supposed to have things go wrong and breakdown, fall over and be really annoying and stupid, but a lot of the time we are just way too hard on oursleves. We have high expectations and want it as best as possible. It's fine to want to be a better more productive person, that's beneficial to the whole planet, but we must remember we're not perfect, so give yourself a break, lighten up a little and realise it's all good, you're supposed to be imperfect and that's the point. Enjoy your imperfection, it's a good thing Max |

| I agree. It's okay to want more, but you have to enjoy life anyway. I think you SHOULD want more. I don't think we should compromise our standards just so that life is easier. As long as you can enjoy life no matter where you are, set your sights for the top. I actually JUST made a podcast about this subject yesterday. If anyone wants to hear it, they can listen here. |

| Now that's a great quote. Accepting yourself (and everyone else) as imperfect and fallible means accepting the world as it can be seen, heard and measured instead of trying to become an imaginary perfect utopian semigod. You can become better at certain tasks, but you can't become perfect. Perfection exists only in theory, not in reality. Also, you don't have to be crappy at a task to be able to become better. This becomes really bad when people start to believe that they had to be perfect to "be worthy". It's a game designed so that you lose. Therefore rejecting it is a helpful thing. To quote Wargames: "The only way to win is not to play." |

| I agree, life is about the good and the bad and both are necessary for growth. Sometimes a crisis may be a blessing in disguise and you will often look back on what first seemed like a nighmare about to happen and realize it was the best thing that ever happened to you.
