Default 30 day trial...comics....

This is the second time I try a 30 day trial....the last one worked great (not surfing on forums for a month...now I hardly ever surf on forums any more).

This time around it's a relatively easy trial. I work on comics in my free time, and have one I've been working on for quite a while. I got a lot done last year, especially at the end of the year, when I was between jobs. But after new year, with a new and very busy job and a new boyfriend on top of that, my comics project has been laying dormant.

So my goal for the next 30 days is to put in 1 hour of work each day on my comics. It's not a lot, but often once I get started I tend to do more. Secondly, there is no collecting up hours, I can't do a 7 hour stint on a sunday and then nothing for the rest of the week. If I do 7 hours in one day, that's great, but I still have to put in 1 hour every day for the rest of the week.

So wish me luck!

Good luck. I bet your comic will be completed and fantastic by the end of this trial. Best wishes.

This sounds like fun. Creating is cool.

Are you set on one hour, or can you make it two? I know that for myself I require about ten minutes to get into hack mode, and another ten getting out. The longer I spend in deep thought mode between, the smaller the percentage of time I waste getting in and out of groove.

Presumably the time spent getting out isn't included in the hour - it happens afterwards. But good point.

The danger is that the more imposing the task appears the likelier you are to avoid starting it. (eg. The shovelglove guy suggests exercising for 14 minutes specifically because it's one minute less than the smallest 'significant' length of time for scheduling purposes).

Perhaps it would be a good idea to set a range : minimum of an hour, but up to 2 hours if you feel like it?

It's one hour minimum a day, if I do two or ten that's just fine too.
Began yesterday and did about two, had only planed on one, but once I got rolling it was hard to stop.
