Don't you think that if your motivation to do a certain task doesn't come easily and naturally 1. Your motivation is simply the wrong one and maybe 2. you should just leave the task be? I find when my motivation comes from a place of joy, and truly from me - I don't have to force myself or convince myself or bribe myself to do anything. |

Hi Michelle - could be that the task isn't aligned with a bigger purpose OR that you have lost sight of what that bigger purpose is. I no I've experienced both cases - where clearly the task was heading toward a dead-end (in terms of not being aligned with where I wanted to go) But often, there will be a task that stumps me, or I feel procrastination setting in, but when I re-visit WHY I'm working on it and it IS in line with a bigger purpose, suddenly the motivation comes back. | Yes I appreciate that Michelle. What I am saying is that an uninspiring task (which is viewed as difficult or hard because of the lack of motivation to complete it) may well still have to be completed just as much as a task that you are keen to work on.
