1. Re-discover who i am (Still working on it ... but I can see that i made a progress in this ... thanks to my frank friends who tell me what I dont see) I have discovered things about me I was never aware of ... 2. Accept who i am ( I can say that i have reached 80% in this one ) I have decided to not make a nose-job operation i was planning to do .. I think i am pretty ... inside and outside and I dont need such operations 3. Enjoy who I am ... (pretty much i do 4. Nurture my relationships (I am doing much better in this one ... thanks again to my great friends) I know i am still in the begining of my journey ... but i am happy with what i have done so far to coach myself on this journey i was thinking and i really need to hear your ideas guys about it ... do you think it would be useful or not 1. before understanding the opposite sex i need to understand myself and therefore i was thinking of reading and applying the seven habits ... that means i need to read it very carefully and work on it step by step 2. reading and working on "the men are from Mars nad the women are from venus" ... I just dont want to get lost with many resources so i was thinking that these two can be enough ... get me to know the basics and then after i am aware i can watch my behaviour on a daily basis and work on it. so what do you think ? is this a good idea ? thanks for reaching this line.

Here we are. At the end of the month. I made 9 goals for July, but had a low success rate of 25% (counting partial successes as a ½ success). In June, i got 50%+ of my goals nailed (1st goal setting month ever). With 2 months of experience now, I've set my goals for August already. After spending 2 months finding out how goalsetting works best for me, I intend to "score" 90%+ in August. I look forward to reading about how YOU managed your July goals -Jan |

My results. 1. Wake up at 8.30 every morning. I think it's done. I gave up on the 5th day because, no matter what, I had gone to bed at 3 at night and after 5 days I felt exhausted. Then I decided to start again on July 11th just to complete 21 day of the challenge and I did it. The result - now 8.30 in the morning doesn't scare me and waking up early has made me more optimistic. 2. Talking back to anyone every day. Done. During this I talked back to the family members, a couple of co-workers and 4 times I swore at one forum board. But I had managed to behave like that when I was in high school. The thing that I couldn't do at that time is talking back to strangers and now, years later, I'm glad I could pluck up the courage and do it - once I talked back to a sales-girl and 2 times to bus conducters (the first time I did it I noticed all people turining their heads and looking at me |

1 - Success. I got a lot done before I left, and had a few days in week 2 to work when I got back. 2 - All but one morning when home, but I wrote fewer than half the mornings on vacation. 3 - Consistent 5/6 of the time I was home. 4 - All but two days when home, but I played fewer than half the days on vacation. The lesson here is: Leave the horn home when I travel. For the amount that I play while traveling, it's not worth lugging the extra bag & weight. In the August Challenge, I wrote that I planned to take my horn to Europe this month. I changed my mind. I'll buzz on the mouthpiece to stay in shape and mentally practice/learn the music. 5 - Roughly 2/3 when home, but under half while out of town. 6 - Very good—27 of 31—certainly better than if I hadn't made the goal.
