Default Wasted Too Much Time

I've realized that I waste so much time in my life.

I think its partly a disipline issue and partly just because of technology, but I end up wasting a lot of time and not getting all of the things done that I need to.

I know it's kind of vague, but what are ways to stop wasting time?

Realise that time itself is of little importance, what is important is right now, this moment. The past and future are ideas and memories, you can't go there and can't create there, so look at what you're doing right now, what are you creating? Is it the life you want? It's good you're feeling responsible, because the right now is all you have and what you're putting in there is all you.

If you don't like what you're putting in there, stop putting it in, take back control and say "right, this is my life right now, what do I want in it, what do I want to create right now" and then do it.

You can give up control, life will keep running, but you can never give up responsibilty.

I agree 100% with Shamou. People waste time because they are always looking for the next "thrill". The grass always looks greener on the other side, so we are constantly shifting our focus, which destroys our productivity, and ultimately, our passion to work towards a goal.

If you want to stop wasting time, decide what your burning desire is to accomplish one major purpose, and then work towards that.

It doesn't have to be what you'll do with the rest of your life, just something that you have a burning desire to do right now.

You might also look at articles/posts that discuss purpose and the meaning of life; when you know what your purpose is and are actively pursuing it, you use your time better.
