I don't really listen to motivational music, but if I had to pick something it'd definitely be the Chariots of Fire music.

- Coheed & Cambria - "Welcome Home"

- Shpongle - anything they've ever done, but specifically "Around the World in a Tea Daze" and "Once Upon the Sea of Blissful Awareness"

- Tool - any song they've ever done, but specifically anything off of "Lateralus" ("Parabola" is my most inspiring song EVER)

- Loreena McKennitt - ANYTHING (she has a new album coming out after a 10-year silence! I'm so excited )

- Godspeed You! Black Emperor's "East Hastings" and "The Dead Flag Blues"

- Enigma's "Push the Limits", "Silence Must Be Heard" and "Endless Quest"

- Delerium's "Silence", "Forgotten Worlds", "Truly", "Lamentation", and "Twilight"

- A Silver Mt. Zion's "Broken Chords Can Sing a Little", "Ring Them Bells (Freedom Has Come & Gone)" and "Sit in the Middle of Three Galloping Dogs" So sad, but so inspiring.

these are the most inspiring, I suppose... I do have a lot of music, lol...

I actually listen to Midnight Syndicate's songs that have a march-style beat to them, like City of Sails or Gates of Delirium. It is an odd choice for motivation, but it reminds me of where I've been and where I'm gearing to go.

Generally I agree with higher energy music like Eminem's Lose Yourself but I agree with Meg on "Against Me!" if you're in a younger generation.

For some other stuff I like that is pretty goofy I like Stan Bush's songs from the Transformer's soundtrack. That would be "Dare" and "The Touch." They are pretty much cheesy encouragement sayings put to music.

Also, anything that stirs up any sort of emotions. Just take whatever emotion it is and focus it on motivating yourself for the task at hand.

Nice taste of music, but the Dead Flag Blues makes me want to kill myself! How do you find it motivating? It's an amazing song, but it's so sad!

Also Shpongle gets me so zoned out I just fall asleep in my mind with eyes open.

My motivational music:

- Stronger by Kanye West
- Classics by Ratatat
- Seventeen Years by Ratatat
- Avenue of Hope by I am Kloot

Van Morrison's Poetic Champion Compose - the entire album chronicles a life's journey to enlightement. I love this album it is like reading a self-help book.

Here is a sample of the albums progression:
The mystery
I forgot that love exisited
Give me my rapture today
Did you get healed?

This album makes me hopeful. Van has a lot of albums like this one, Enlightenment is a great one also.

Cheers,

see I think it all depends on the mood you're in

sometimes thing need to be done slowly... where something like classical is good music to listen to. Then there's times where you want to work really quickly on things... in this case I enjoy electronica

the best thing to do... if you don't have music is check out online radio stations like di.fm and shoutcast.com

anyway... that's my 2 cents.

Hi!

I like a lot of the music from Solitudes. A lot of it is kind of New Age, but it's mixed with nature sounds and can be very relaxing.

Off the top of my head www.solitudes.com
