Generally I agree with higher energy music like Eminem's Lose Yourself but I agree with Meg on "Against Me!" if you're in a younger generation. For some other stuff I like that is pretty goofy I like Stan Bush's songs from the Transformer's soundtrack. That would be "Dare" and "The Touch." They are pretty much cheesy encouragement sayings put to music. Also, anything that stirs up any sort of emotions. Just take whatever emotion it is and focus it on motivating yourself for the task at hand. -Lanigan |

probably down the lines of Never Gonna Stop (chorus) and Feel So Numb By Rob Zombie (instrumental) It's My Life by Bon Jovi (title says all) -> you're life is yours to control, not others. Next 2 You by Buckcherry :"and i don't know what to do to get next to you" -> keep on trying even though you're failing, you'll eventually get it :P As i am by Dream Theater: "take me as i am" (instrumental) Kryptonite by Three Doors Down:"if i go crazy, now will you still call me superman" -> it makes me think that you got to see the sun shine in ugly situations with your loved one (how i define love) (not litterally lol) Paralyzer by Finger Eleven -> i find the video makes me think that i can do so many things at the moment. (go for driver's license, work, help family, etc) Bullet with a name by Nonpoint :" I'm working harder than 100 black mules down in mexico, no water, no cloud, no cover, hotter than hell" Alive and Kicking by Nonpoint :"i'm stronger now even after everything that you did" -> my family wasn't happy when i was with my ex, and they did alot to make me go nuts, when i broke up with her, i makes me feel stronger than what they thought. they succeeded, even though my life is hellish atm i feel stronger knowing that i went through the misery and i'm still alive and kicking |

I'm a huge tranceaddict. This music is incredible. I find it hard to pick specific songs for the list, it all depends on the day/mood I'm in. As long as it's beautiful, melodic, energetic, etc, then all trance will motivate me big time! And I have the german technogroup Scooter as my #1 favorite band! |

For quietly inspirational music; Schubert's piano sonatas. For more lively music; Handel's oratorios. And, for some of the happiest music ever written; Rossini's overtures and operas. |

I remember when we were working on programming projects in college, we used to play the Jurassic Park theme (by John Williams). It starts out really slow and steadily builds up. In my opinion it's great for getting motivated and to feel like you're doing something great ;-) John Williams created lots of well-known movie themes (e.g. Superman, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, E.T., Jaws, etc.). The Jurassic Park theme can be found on Youtube. More on John Williams can be found on Wikipedia. |

I can recommend: "Success Songs" CD by Paul Hoffman, especially the first song "It's My Time" - you can download a demo form http://successsongs.com or listen online CD Baby: PAUL HOFFMAN: Success Songs vol. 1 "Awake" CD by Josh Groban, especially "You Are Loved (Dont Give Up)" - this is quite close to the tenor Andrea Bocelli but much lighter. I usualy listen to reiki or baroque music when I want to boost motivation while working mentally, trance/techno/disco music when working physically. |

I usually listen to female fronted rock bands, but the lyrics of Hero from Mariah Carey quite fire me up. For the music, probably I'll choose See Who I Am & Hand of Sorrow by Within Temptation. I just like 'em Last edited by elsasq; 02-05-2009 at 09:20 AM. |
