Hello everyone, I haven't posted for a while because I was finishing up university and have since come down with bouts of illnesses... one after another. However, thankfully I am starting to feel better and the fog over my mind is starting to clear, and I have been thinking about several goals that I would like to achieve. One such goal is to further my blog since I started it last year and although I have posted material on it (which is an achievement in itself in some respects since I get a bit shy about publishing my material on the internet - I know that is a very odd attitude to take but never mind) I would like to feel like I was putting more of myself into the blog because I feel that my posts are shallow (somehow) and that I am holding myself back from any potential readers that may be interested in the topics I bring up. My blog is about issues concerning gender, because I can see that there is a gender divide in society in general and I am trying to muddle through issues with respect to that. I think what I would like to achieve is to show a "middle way" (without the Buddhist connotation necessarily - although I love reading Buddhist wisdom) with respect to gender since so many sites seem to exist that polarize the genders away from each other. I would like to write articles that explain that it is important for the genders to understand and respect their differences whilst understanding that on the grand scale of life they are no so different. So does anybody have any tips about how I can improve my blog? Any ideas about how to approach articles? Any questions about my blog at all? Thank you so much for taking the time to read my question. Yeah, I have been having trouble trying to work out the tone of my own posts which have prevented me from writing new blog entries as I don't think I am at a stage where I know what I want to say with gender issues... I know it is an important issue, it is just an issue that is messy to research that I get some problems with knowing what I want to say first!! I probably need to sit down and think about what I want to achieve. Good point on how often I should blog. At the moment I am trying to stockpile articles so that I am ahead of the blogging game (as it were) and I can start posting more regularly. Cheers Engendertruth |
