I've been thinking a lot about the future and what sort of things I should do as an adult. I know that I want my source of income to be something I enjoy, but I'm not sure what that should be. My interests are- Science (mostly psychology) Philosophy Religion/ Spirituality Business Human Relations Helping Other People So what's best for me? |

Pigsonthewing, I can sympathize with the questions you're dealing with. They are very common. I've been there. Only you can answer questions about your career, life, and purpose. Here is a series of articles that might help you get there, but the ultimate answer belongs to you (and I believe you have the answer within you): Synergy, the Key to Greater Energy and Happiness Last edited by JohnPlace; 06-08-2007 at 09:55 AM. |

Don't think what you want to BE. Think what you want to DO. The answer will come, if you have faith. If you have let go of fear, doubt and disbelief. The answer will come and it will ignite your soul with its brilliance. if you let it.

Hi pigs. There are two ways to do this: a) write everything you like about each and what you'd like to accomplish or how you'd want the field advanced, and what type of work you like doing, etc. and see what you come up with b) do ANYTHING in one of those fields. If it responds well, keep going. If it doesn't, go somewhere else, and you'll have learned valuable information. Begins with a single step, but dang, that single step seems to take a lot more effort than the other ones! P.S. I remember that Steve wrote a great article that works for finding your life purpose. That article is called something like, "How to find your purpose in 20 minutes," or something like that. I don't know how to link I actually did something a little different--there was one song that had a lot of meaning for me. I kept playing it over and over again (not intent on finding my life purpose) but at some point, this idea popped into my head and it was like, dang, there it was. Maybe music can help, too.
