Positive affirmations have been fairly effective in helping me overcome my low self-esteem. But I was wondering how exactly do they work? I know that a lot of people do not believe in positive affirmations because they believe just saying a word a couple times a day cannot make a difference. I argue that it does because if we were to say " I am so stupid" over and over again, then we would eventually believe this. Am I on the right track? Do any of you have positive affirmations? Do they work for you and what is your theory on why they do? Thanks! |
