| Over the weekend, I created something I’m calling the 32 hour Mini Vacation. Maybe I’ll make an e-product about it. If there’s anyone that wants to be sort of an informal beta tester, I’ll welcome your feedback. It’s a very Easy System. Here what happened--Last week I worked my tail off-I spent a lot of time developing some new product ideas, wrote and submitted a lot of good articles, and tricked out a bunch of web pages. Basically, I tired my brain out and was feeling sort of stressed. I worked pretty late Friday PM, and decided to do NOTHING on Saturday and Sunday. But, out of nowhere came the inspiration for the 32 hour mini vacation. Instead of doing nothing on Saturday (and wondering why I’m bored), I got up at the regular time (a little before six). I packed a toothbrush, change of clothes and my swimsuit, and hit the road. I stopped for breakfast 30 minutes later, and also visited a roadside market and a couple of places of local history. After about 4 hours, I checked into a nice little motel (although I’d only traveled about 125 miles). I lazied by the pool for a few hours, then had a real great dinner. Later, I returned to my room and read and watched TV, and fell asleep early. I woke up late, and hung out by the pool some more. By checkout time I was very relaxed. I jumped in the car and rolled home. I unpacked which took about 10 minutes (when you stay out one night, you can travel light), and spent the rest of the day and evening actively doing nothing. I slept like a rock last night, and this morning, It’s back to the gold mines. The thing is, I Feel Great! I’ve enjoyed all the benefits of a longer, more traditional vacation without the expenses (time and money). Best of all, I can do this many times per year. Take 32 hours and try it.
