| Do you jog? Hit the snooze repeatedly? Eat a good breakfast? Rush to work? Drink a bunch of coffee? Check your email? Right now I generally quickly check my email and eat a small breakfast, have coffee (can't rid myself of that yet), shower, and leisurely head to work. Kind of stuck in this routine since I am saving up money for school in the fall. I still think it's better than waking up 5 minutes before having to rush to work; I usually leave myself 1-1.5 hours to myself. I'm hoping that eventually I'll be able to fit in jogging in the morning, but that will probably be easier to do when I am doing more independent work/going to school.

| I usually get up, have a big breakfast (pre-workout energy Sometimes I still do the snooze button rampage though, and end up pounding it for an hour, sometimes without even realizing it. |
| |||
| I have 3 different alarms.. (clock, cell phone, and computer) so that helped me stop playing the snooze game

| I do a shorter version of Anthony Robbins's "Hour of Power". I work out for 5 minutes. Then I move, breathe and use incantations for about 15 minutes. Finally, I take five minutes to really think what I am grateful about. There is nothing magical about the incantations, I just say them to get myself in the right mood. I direct my focus and that gives me energy. If you want a calmer start of the day I suggest meditation. As for me 10 minutes use to do it. I feel a lot less stressed during the day when I have meditated in the morning. I think the important part here is to form a routine of some sort and then make it a habit. If it becomes a habit you do not have to feel pressure to do it, it comes through automatically. Then you could really speak of the habit of feeling great! |

| My first hour during a typical weekday goes something like this:

| Hi I just stumbled upon this site and now subscribe the rss feed from the forums. My routine has just changed, I have just started the The Couch-to-5K Running Plan so now I get up at 6:00 am and run on Tuesdays and Thursdays and once on the weekend. On the rest of the days I get up at least 1.5 hours before work. I have just started drinking coffee every morning and like time to relax before going to work. Tim |

| My first hour is all about setting myself up to take on the day... 15 minutes - Shower and shave to begin the day fresh 15 minutes - make a healthy breakfast of lean protein and healthy carbs (usually 3 turkey sausage and some whole wheat waffles with flax seed sprinkled on) and read something inspirational 8 minutes of meditation (check out the book "8 Minute Meditation" - it's awesome and has made a real difference for me) 20 minutes for walking the dog (more exercise for me and the joy my dog gets from exercising is infectious) |

| I wake up at 6am ( soon to be 5) I take a few deep breaths I put on my running clothes. I do the tony robbins routine (hour of power) that means 15 minutes walking with breathing exercises, being gratefull for what is and what I want, and then I start to do some powerfull affirmations the tony robbins way. I continue doing the affirmations while running (15-30min) and then I slow down, and walk for like 10 more minutes. Then it is eating time Then a nice shower Then I do what I need to do to get the day started. I'm only doing this for a week. But I like it alot, so I will continue doing it in the future.

| Workday: Get up at 4:00 Stagger about, trying to form coherent thoughts Let cat in/out. Brush teeth/hair, use bathroom Pack breakfast/lunch fiddle about on computer 15-20 minutes leave for work at 5:00 I used to do an abbreviated Qi-gong routine for 20-25 minutes, but I fell out of that habit, and haven't gotten back into it. It took a lot of my time early in the morning. |

| I exercise first thing. Brisk walking for an hour, or a step aerobics routine or weight-lifting. On Saturdays and Sundays, I ride my bike 15 miles. Some days I travel, some days I work at home. I start with the number one item on my list, whatever the day is like, and don't stop until all the items are struck through Some days I give myself treats, such as a leisurely breakfast out with the newspaper or lunch with a friend. |

| thats an awesome response Shamou, after reading all these responses your's illicited a real 'im barking up the wrong tree here' reaction in me. What I do, 15 minutes - argue with myself that listening to the radio really isn't as interesting as I'm pretending it is and that I should get up. 20 minutes - breakfast and read a few web pages 15 minutes shower and get ready 10 minutes talk with the kiddy winks then go to work |

| Shower, poop, dress and eat normally. Might implement some morning exercises, maybe an abbreviated hour of power. Still having issues with the whole getting-out-of-bed thing though, which makes me rush to get to the computer and do some writing so that the day isn't wasted. |

| First I say hello to the little person who woke me at the crack of dawn. 10 minutes in the bathroom 15 minutes of email 20 minutes of wrangling little people into their school clothes and explaining to my three year old why peeing in the morning is a good thing and not a punishment. 15 minutes get dressed and start making breakfast and school lunches for the kids Steve is at the gym during this period, so I wait for him to come back at 7am and then I get to go to the gym.

| I meditate half an hour every day starting around 4:30 A.M. Next I feed the cats. On Monday-Wednesday-Friday I then do 40 minutes on the elliptical trainer and on Sunday I do ET for an hour. On Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday I write. |

| When I first wake up I like to think. I usually think about goals, how far I have come on each and what I still have left to do. Also what I need to do the day ahead, and sometimes I just day dream frist up |
| |||
| Right now, I get up at 7:45 (working on slowly decreasing that time). I surf the net a bit to wake up (though I'm considering what else I could do instead, even reading is a bit difficult to wake up with). Then, since I'm doing a 30 day trial now, I hit the road for a 25 minute walk. |
| |||
| I have a shower, get dressed and look important before I either go to school or just commute to my setee where I read for most of the day.
