I'm working not having goals and just living passionately. I have a tendency to make snap decisions and then regret it later. I keep changing my career plans. It's really embarassing to say I want to be a therapist and then have to admit that I want to be a computer programmer, then a professor, and so forth.

I have vague ideas of wanting to lose weight, make a lot of money next year, and explore future careers. But because of the Zen article posted by the mod I will just live passionately and productively. With that said, I know that 2012 will be my breakthrough year, as I have been doing the best I can to prepare for it.

Ok, I've got some preliminary goals to add. Will probably change with time but here goes!

Goal #1 - Live financially conscious - this has been my goal for years already, and it's served me well. I find that the more I work at it, the more I can improve. This year will be no different.

Goal #2 - Get things done - lingering projects didn't used to bother me, but things change with impending fatherhood. 2012 will be the start of a new habit: finishing stuff. I tried it in 2011 and it didn't go so well. This is my year!

Goal #3 - Write to improve, everyday - it's one thing to write daily; it's another to write to improve. I'm already writing everyday, whether it's on forums, in my journal, or just to relax. I'd like to consciously develop that skill.

That's the big three that come to mind.
