Do you have any idea what you did to me? I've taken your example and considered a good job which I would've passed on because it was far away. I didn't want to shift to that other place and I thought commuting would be too much (about 1-1.5 hrs one way). Now looking at you and the other person who commutes for 3 hrs a day, I've taken up the decision to take up that job and move into a place somwhere nearby to where I'm currently staying. It's too bad that the Delhi Undeground Trains don't run in the areas that I stay and about to start work in, but hey there's always the bus! Also this kinda got me thinking, that its a great reason for me to wake early and all the commuting takes up some time of the day and tire me out enough to put me straight to bed first thing I'm home. Because when I'm shifting out, I'm not going to have any luxuries of the home. No TV, no computer, no refridirator, no nothing! Only a matress and my guitar. Hey I have to start somewhere right? THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE INSPIRATION SENORKAFFEE!

I'm not looking to freelance right away, perhaps a year or more down the line, I'd like to take up some side-projects along with my day job. First things first, I have to settle down on my first day-job of my life

| I usually spend time doing these things everyday, if I do them efficiently, I'll consider it a succesful day. Study - 6hr (no breaks) Classes - 2-3hr Exercise - 1hr Eat - 2hr getting ready - 1hr sleep 8hr ----- i guess i waste 4hr of waking time, though this time includes commuting, errands etc. |

My day: 5:30 Wake, exercise, meditate, ready for the day. 6:30 or 6:45 Walk to work, check email, begin the work day 16:30 Walk home 17:00 - 23:00 Work on the house, read, talk with wife. 23:00 bedtime I was discussing the idea of taking two hours per day to work on PD priorities, and she suggested waking at 4 am. I am going to try for 30 days. I may "sleep in" on weekends until 5. |

| Here is mine! 5:00 AM: Wake up, make ablution and head to the moseque for Fajr prayer. The time acutally differs; it's between 3:30-5:20 depending on the season. Prayer takes around 20 minutes including performing the prayer and preparation for it. It's a break from this life and a moment of connection with Greatest God, the only God, Allah. 5:20 Am: Return to bed and have some more sleep. 6:00 AM: wake up again for the day, brush, have breakfast and head to the work. 7:00 AM: Work starts 11:30 PM: Lunch break and Duhr prayer (second prayer of the 24 hrs) 12:30 PM: Resume work. 3:20 PM: Asr prayer (third prayer) 03:40 PM: back to the office for additional 20 to 30 minutes. 04:00 PM: Leave the office back home 04:20 PM: Evening coffee and free time until Maghrib prayer that's around 5:20PM. After prayer comes back home or visit relatives. This is the devoted time to my family until Isha prayer (5th prayer and last one of the 24 hrs prayer). 7:20: Have dinner, gym time, reading book, watch tv, work on my site, or other variation of activities until bed time. 10:30 t- 11:00 PM: Go to bed. I am very happy with my life. Thanks |

| Great routine! It's amazing how so many people here wake at 5 am. I'm gonna have to try that. I woke up at 8am today because of the cold weather. Otherwise 9am would be early for me

| I have to say, some of your daily routines are impressive and I love that because I want more than anything else to fit more into my day. I am too lazy and distractable, but I am working on that. 9am: wake up, read, eat something, hop on computer to check mail, blogs, forums etc. 10:30am-5pm: Write (I am a freelance writer). Okay, okay, I admit I only actually write for like 2 of those hours. Other time is filled in by staring out the window, maybe a bit of reading which is okay, some more eating, more hopping off and online). Very unproductive. I am ashamed. 5pm: Make dinner, eat, bf is home, spend some time together. 7pm: Watch tv, back online some nights. Lately I come to this forum in the evenings which is good for me. 11pm-12am: Do some writing (I am vrey productive with my writing at this time).

| 5:30am Alarm goes off. I wake up, usually stay in bed for extra 20 minutes to put son back to sleep (he is 1 and a half) 6am Meditate for 10 minutes. Do my yoga routine. Read yoga philosophy or Abraham or any other spiritual teaching. Alternatively, yoga class at the gym. 7am Son wakes up and I hang out with him for a while. Shower. Get myself dressed. Get him dressed. Make breakfast. Usually takes a while to get him to eat it. I guess he is just not a breakfast person. 8am Work on some projects. Really, I can maybe fit in about two hours of these. Sometimes, I wish I had a place to go do them, cause son tends to hang around with me, which can be distracting. 12pm Lunch and nap time for son. Nap for me on most days, about half an hour. 1pm An hour of free time for me. Draw or write. 3pm - Depending on the day, I go for a walk, exercise or volunteer (a couple of times a week) 6pm - Dinner, which includes cooking and cleaning up 7pm - Class three times a week or study if I'm at home. Reading and listening to radio. Internet. 8pm - Cleaning up 9pm - Son goes to sleep. Sometimes, he doesn't until later. On the days that he does, I try to do something relaxing such as meditate or do relaxing yoga. And sometimes I'm on the Internet, like right now 10-11pm Off to bed! |

| Nice idea, it's been nice to read everyone elses! My turn, I've bolded my fave bits 6.30am - wakey wakey, drink coffee, eat toast, enjoy the sunrise (at this time of year) turn on my laptop, do a little journaling, reading or (at the moment because I'm about to be laid off) apply for jobs online. 8am - shower, dress, make-up etc. drive to work 8.50 - get set up at my desk to start my workday as a secretary (won’t bore you with details LOL). 5.30pm - back at home, do a super quick house tidy-up. 6pm - do some yoga and/or go for a walk, quality time with DH, dinner time, watch a little TV, lounge around - in no particular order! 10pm onwards - work on personal & side projects, or help DH with some of his business stuff - he is a night owl and does his best work from around 10pm onwards and he likes to bounce ideas of me until I start falling asleep. 11.45 - pre-bed rituals (clean up messy kitchen, brush teeth, choose outfit for tomorrow). 12.15 – beddy-byes, I like to spend a moment reviewing my day and focusing on making tomorrow even better! 2-3 am – (sometimes) get rudely awakened by DH falling into bed, often wanting to discuss a great idea he had, followed by snuggle time p.s. I sometimes need a nap after work due to being woken by DH in the middle of the night p.p.s. I basically turn into a cat at weekends, it's all about food, sleep & recharging batteries

| ok, here is mine "routine": 8am - get up, breakfast, teeth brushing, cycle to university 9.30am - 10.45 - in class 11am - 2pm - studying, doing reading and just chillin on the sun, eating a healthy snack 2pm - 3.15 - in class 3.30 - 4.30 - gym 5 - 6pm - probably the most relaxing part of my day - cooking!! 6 - 6.30pm - feeling drowsy after food, having a cup of green tea, doing emails, 6.30pm - 7pm - a little bit of planning for the rest of the day, set clear goals what I want to do and learn, 7pm - 2am - back at University lab, studying, working on projects, programming, thinking, having something to eat ( I hate that they close the lab at 2am, way too early!) well, I gues that's it, what I want to introduce to my daily routine are special hours or 30min periods of time, where I would read a non-myDegree related book, learn about the company that I'm going to work soon, and a business hour when I would brainstorm some ideas for possible new products |
