| Ubermensch Day #59: Motivation Ovulation Meditate like a monk: meditated for 10 minutes. (total accumulated time: 173 minutes). No new insights other then it feels good sitting and meditating, I sit with excellent form now. Exercise like a War God: I marched to the gym in gloomy Canada weather. I still have a cold. Did overhead press with the barbell like a boss, then finished it off with pull ups, dips and chest cable exercises. Today the early "New Year resolution" crowd is coming in, trio of bros spotting each other doing curls. One kid asked me to spot him while he does pull ups ("No. You use the pull up assist machine"). Read a fascinating book: Read 28 pages of Empire State of Mind: How Jay-Z Went from Street Corner to Corner Office by Zack Greenburg. (Progress: 114/196 – Physical hardcover page count: 240) Jay-z hustled by selling $13 champagne for $300. He used his music video to promote the product. Then the chapter goes on about Jay-z and his marriage with Beyonce. This chapter is nothing more then celebrity gossip and doesn't fit the overall theme of how Jay-z build his empire. Watch something inspiration: Watched 1 episode of Darker than Black: Kuro no Keiyakusha (progress: 3/25). It was a slow, boring episode. Learn an awesome foreign language: Learned Korean for 20 minutes (Total accumulated time starting at Dec 01 2011: 612 minutes). I'm excited, after 2 months of sticking to Korean I'm starting to understand conversational Korean. Today lesson is learning about nouns, past and present. 사과 = an apple (declaration) 사과다 = is an apple (present, postive) 사과가 아니다 = is not an apple (present, negative) 사과였다 = was an apple (past, postive) 사과가 아니었다 = was not an apple (past, negative) 사과 = an apple (sagwa) 사과다 = is an apple (sagwa da) 사과가 아니다 = is not an apple (sagwa ga anida) 사과였다 = was an apple (sagwa yoke da) 사과가 아니었다 = was not an apple (sagwa ga an yo da) 연필 = a pencil 연필이야 = is a pencil 연필(이) 아니야 = is not a pencil 연필이었어 = was a pencil 연필(이) 아니었어 = was not a pencil Word of the day: amnesty [am-nuh-stee] - a general pardon for offenses, especially political offenses, against a government, often granted before any trial or conviction - "Young man, you ate my dog but I'll grand you an amnesty" Build passive income streams (Yeah!): Wrote 1 article (421 words), got 7 backlinks, and edit site to to ensure conversion Business thoughts: “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” ~ Leonardo da Vinci. I'm forgetting to keep it simple, therefore here's the new routine: Daily activities from Monday to Saturday: Activity #1: Build 10 backlinks per day Activity #2: Write 500+ words content, either page for website or into email autoresponder Activity #3: Small task support - research, edit, upkeep website Sunday: preparation and planning for next week. Daily Conclusion - what Ubermensch thinks: Motivation comes from introspection. It's actually hard - I spent a solid 2 years just going for walks and thinking about life. And then the voice in my head told me: Voice in my head: What if you only have one life? A life time is pretty long. Will you live a life of mediocrity - or will you live life beyond your wildest dream? Will your be the king, or will you be the pawn? A life of adventure, or a life time of boredom? Ubermensch: Uh ... I'll take the adventure. I'm going to be king. Voice in my head: But you have to pay the price. Ubermensch: What price? Voice in my head: Doing whatever it takes to accomplish it. There is no shortcut. Pay the price, or shut the ♥♥♥♥ up. Ubermensch: Fine. I have marched through hail, snow and rain to hit the gym. I have also spent countless nights working until I pass out. I don't think it's extreme. What's extreme is living a life of sloth and mediocrity. My climb towards self actualization will manifest itself in living the life style I envision. The physical manifestation is solid proof that I have become self actualize by exercising extreme authority over my own life; my mind, my body. Whenever I feel lazy, tired, un-motivated, I remind myself that life is a fast, ticking time bomb towards death. Either die as someone great, or die as an un-actualize nobody. -------------------------------- The Dokkodo "The Way to be Followed Alone" or "The Way of Walking Alone" was a work written by Miyamoto Musash. It is a short work, consisting of either nineteen or twenty-one precepts; The precepts

| Ubermensch Day #60: 2 Months Progress Review Meditate like a monk: meditated for 10 minutes. (total accumulated time: 183 minutes). The meditation session seem to past by blazingly fast. Exercise like a War God: Marched to the gym in sunny weather today, this is the second intense workout session this year (first one was setting my 275 lbs "ass to grass" squat personal record). This is like circuit training and weight lifting mashed into one. I did my dead lifts (5x5), good mornings (5x10), hanging leg lifts (5x10) and call it a good session. Read a fascinating book: Finished reading "The 10X Rule: The Only Difference Between Success and Failure" by Grant Cardone (Hardcover: 256 pages). I finished this book in 2 sitting - I read the book until I passed out, woke up, ate breakfast, went to the gym, and came back to finish reading the book. This book is, without a doubt, the best self improvement book I ever read. (No hyperbole). Second book is "The Slight Edge: Turning Simple Disciplines Into Massive Success" by Jeff Olson. Both of these books are written by successful business people who have "been there, done that". The Slight Edge advocates small, incremental action that adds up overtime; 10x rule is like Slight Edge but on steriods. Both advocate the same thing - TAKE ACTION. If I were to introduce someone to personal development, I would simply tell them to read "The Slight Edge" first, followed by "The 10X Rule". Watch something inspiration: Watched 1 episode of Chiyahafuru (Progress: 12/25). Best anime ever! Whenever I need "motivation", I simply watch episode 11 of Chiyahafuru. Learn an awesome foreign language: Learned Korean for 40 minutes (Total accumulated time starting at Dec 01 2011: 652 minutes). There's informal spoken form, and polite spoken form. Interesting. Polite SPOKEN form, present and past tense: 사과예요 = it's an apple (sag wa ye yo) 사과였어요 = it was an apple (sag wa yosh soy yo) 사과 아니에요 = it isn't an apple (sag wa an yay yo) 사과 아니었어요 = it wasn't an apple (sag wa an yo, soy yo) Informal SPOKEN form, present and past tense: 사과 = an apple (sag wa) 사과야 = is an apple (sag wa ya) 사과였어 = isn't an apple (sag wa yo so) 사과 아니야 = was an apple (sag wa ahn ya) 사과 아니었어 = wasn't an apple (sag wa ahn yo so) Informal WRITTEN form, present and past tense: 사과 = an apple (sag wa) 사과다 = is an apple (sag wa da) 사과가 아니다 = is not an apple (sag wa ga, anni da) 사과였다 = was an apple (sag wa, yok da) 사과가 아니었다 = was not an apple (sag wa da, anni yok da) Word of the day: protege - proh-tuh-zhey - noun a person under the patronage, protection, or care of someone interested in his or her career or welfare, example: He's the new protege .... HARRY POTTER. Build passive income streams (Yeah!): Wrote 900 words, 6 backlinks from Link Network 4 blog comment submission to high PR blogs 450 words content for main page My work day isn't over yet, it's midnight. I'm going to keep working until I pass out. Including this blog entry, today I written 2.5k words. Daily Conclusion - what Ubermensch thinks: On Day #30, I did a monthly review of how I progress. How it's day #60, jeez .. it seems like yesterday that I was on day #30. Anyways, here's the brutally honest self assessment 2 Months Progress Review Meditation: Good. I progressed from 5 mins to 10 mins, lol. Meditation habit was implemented around day #25-ish? It has become a daily habit, something I thought I could never do. Exercise: Steady. I haven't regress or progress in terms of strength but that's okay. My goal is to become bigger, I'm switching from a strength base routine to a body building routine, with a slight emphasis on upper body and abs. I'm pretty excited with my new routine: ==> Monday Overhead press 5x5 Cable cross overs 3 x 8 Chin up 5 x 10 Dips 5 x 10 ==> Tuesday Dead lifts 5x5 Good mornings 5 x 10 Hanging leg raise 5 x 10 Crunch variations 3 x 20 ==> Thursday Bench press 5x5 Dumb bell press 5 x 10 Dumb bell rows 5 x 10 Crunch variations 3 x 20 ==> Friday Squats 5x5 Calve rises 4 x 10 Cable cross overs 3 x 8 Crunch variations 3 x 20 Reading: Steady - I've been reading about 25-30 pages per day as usual. I usually finish a book in about 7 to 10 days, depending on the total pages. I don't really think there's room for improvement here, I can speed read but I enjoy the pace where I'm going. The format on the ebook reader is different from a physical book - for example, "3 pages" on an e-reader counts as 1 physical page? In any case, I'm not anal about finish a book fast. Finishing 1 book every 10 days equals to 36 books per year, which is fine - it's the quality of the book, not the quantity. Watch something inspiration: Null. I will still continue watching anime EVERYDAY. It's inspiring, and I have shed manly tears (watching kid cartoon shows. Don't tell my girlfriend this) Foreign language acquisition: Great. Learning Korean no longer seems like a chore; it's fun, especially when I speak Korean to native speakers and they understand me. I'm pretty stoke to learn 1 language per year. In 5 years time, 5 new languages! Awesome. Building a business empire: NOT SO GOOD. It was only on day #49 that I became deadly serious on building a business empire. Build a business is probably the biggest "goal" - and the most life transforming. If I want to make $10,000 USD per month by March 31 2012, I have to work x10 as hard. I have 14 weeks (103 days) left to make it happen. If I roll out 1 site per week, I should have 14 sites up and running by March 31 ... I know this project is going to be mentally and physically exhausting. I know there's going to be disappointments and setbacks. I also know that from morning to night, for the next 103 days, I'll be working with very little breaks in between. But is it worth it? Yes - I'm merely paying the price, by taking the massive action, to bring the goals to fruition. ---------------------------------- Big thank you to everyone who reads my blog and comments. Also big thank you to those who read my thread on the Stevepavlina forum. And a big thank you to MrRottenTreats - your harsh critism stinged but it motivated me to achieve my goals FASTER. [And a big thank you to my mom - your rice beef stir fry dish is great!] |

| Ubermensch Day #61: Business Empire Meditate like a monk: meditated for 10 minutes. (total accumulated time: 183 minutes). Exercise like a War God: [n/a - rest day]. I woke up sore as hell, laying in bed for half an hour. Read a fascinating book: Read 28 pages of Empire State of Mind: How Jay-Z Went from Street Corner to Corner Office by Zack Greenburg. (Progress: 142/196 – Physical hardcover page count: 240). Jay-z made his money through endorsement, including a failed partnership with Ford, called the "Jay Z Jeep". Unfazed, he went on wtih more partnership, including with HP and some other beer companies. Watch something inspiration: Watched 1 episode of Darker than Black: Kuro no Keiyakusha (progress: 4/25) This episode was exciting as it draws a conclusion from the previous episode - I'm continued to be amazed at this anime, it rivals that of Black Lagoon and Cowboy Bebop. Learn an awesome foreign language: Learned Korean for 30 minutes (Total accumulated time starting at Dec 01 2011: 682 minutes). So in Korean, there are FOUR different ways to say "This is an apple". There is the formal spoken form, informal spoken form, formal written form, informal written form. I can see why the honorific versions make Japanese and Korean a slightly harder language to learn now. Formal spoken form: 사과예요 = it’s an apple (sag wa ye yo) Informal spoken form: 사과야 = is an apple (sag wa ya) Formal written form: 사과입니다 = it's an apple (sag wa em ni da) Informal written form: 사과다 = is an apple (sag wa da) In the spoken form, 야 is used for nouns without final consonant and 이야 for nouns with a final consonant. Word of the day: ancillary - an-sil-uh-ree - subsidiary, adjective. "Ancillary room" Build passive income streams (Yeah!): rewrote 4 articles, 1000 words total, 7 backlinks from AR. Business thoughts: I have to write to populate the webpage with content, I have to write for backlinks (BuildMyRank.com), I have to write to get comment backlinks (ActuallyRank.com), I have to write to populate my autoresponder sequence. There seems to be no way around it! Right now I'm writing about 2k words per day . However, to 10x the effort I need to write about 10,000 words per day. (Yes, 10k!) However, writing 10k per day is just an open invitation to carpal tunnel syndrome, so I'm going to buy Dragon Naturally Speaking for $100 USD. It's a voice to text software with 99 percent accuracy. I'm going to buy it tomorrow and "speak" 10,000 words per day and build the authority website at a break neck speed. Manually typing is so 1999. ------------------------------------ SEM is such a slow progress - I see it as something for the long term. For quick traffic, I can employ other traffic sources to our website: ==> youtube ==> pod cast (syndicated all over the Internet) ==> media buy (including banners and PPC) ==> Email traffic ==> Article Marketing / Guest Posting ==> "Social media" (twitter, facebook, even big online forums) Daily Conclusion - what Ubermensch thinks: Today, a woman - in her late 20s - died close to my home. She was ran over by a bus early morning while she was walking to work. Nobody expects to die today. This is the thoughts that probably went through her mind this morning while she's having breakfast: "Another day at work, it's almost the holidays! I can't wait to finish, finally I can relax and hang out with the family. I haven't seen them for a while. I got my gifts for my nieces and nephews, they're so adorable! Finally I get 10 days of relaxation and away from the stress. I can't wait to see baby Jones, she's turning 14 months. I hope the cute baby P.J I bought fits her. Wow, it's almost 2012 ... what a year. I hope I get a promotion at work this year, and perhaps vacation somewhere warm for the winter with my hubby. I gained a couple pounds over the holidays, I'm going to sign up for the gym and lose some weight, get a sexy body and make my hubby proud. Oops, it's 6:45 AM. Time to get to work, I don't even have time to finish my toasts anymore. I guess I have to wake up earlier .... gotta do the grocery after work too" She was someone wife, sister, daughter, grand daughter, friend, co-worker, nighbour, a citizen, and yes, even a "spiritual being". Dear lady who just died ... you're gone, but not forgotten - I'll be sure to look both ways when I cross the street. ------------------------ I wanted to be better then average – mentally, physically, intellectually and financially. But there was something missing; I forgot about being a better then average person morally. Sounds pretentious I know, but I have to strive into become a very upstanding person. This is not because of external rewards of heaven, nirvana, or social approval, but beause it's the correct thing to do. When order and harmony interwine, peace is achieve. When disorder and lawlessness is combine, chao ensues. To achieve a higher order of correct moral conduct, I will read classic literature like Tao te ching, Buddhist text and Meditation by Aurelius to distil their wisdom and follow a code of moral conduct throughout my daily interactions. ------------------------ Intelligent people are more likely to be introverted. "Introverts are a minority group in society, they form the majority of gifted people. Moreover, it appears that introversion increases with intelligence so that more than 75% of people with an IQ above 160 are introverted" Stacey's HiQ Page The Gifted Introvert |

@cacheborn - yes, all my entries is in ProjectUbermensch.com Huh, I didn't know the forum was shutting down, so that's why everyone is acting so weird. Anyways, I couldn't care less if Steve Pavlina close down this forum, that's fine. Thanks for reading everyone! I'll only post my entries on my official website then. |
