Maya, I tell myself that there is a reason it is happening this way and the reason will be revealed to me when the time is appropriate. All things happen for a reason and at some point it will become crystal clear and obvious. I also have conversations with the little voice in my head. Just learning this technique. Acknowledge it for trying to protect me and then ask, why do you think I can't or shouldn't do this. I've heard others do this with great results. RICK |

Here is my idea: You should have a vivid image, feeling, or story in your mind of your accomplishment. Visualize it. See yourself as a strong, vibrant and successful person. You have reached all your goals by persistent work. And you enjoyed the process although it demanded work. You are there. And nothing could hinder you. You did it. You made it. Time for celebration. Return to that image whenever doubt or fear occurs. Success is yours to get, because you are willing to do the work. Make your image so ingrained that it just seems natural. Sometimes you might fall short, but you will rise. Again and again. Until you make it. Practical example: I lived on the bare necessities during a period of four months while finishing a university course. It was not very glorious. In fact, it was far from comfortable. During that period of time I read a nice novel on a luxurious life. I read the novel fully focused, a few pages a day. In my mind I LIVED with that comfort. And that feeling of comfort gave me the breaks and relief that I needed. Sure enough, it was just a fantasy. But it felt so real that it didn't matter. Last edited by Swede; 11-22-2011 at 09:00 PM. |
