Default Any tips in making studies easier?

Hi, Anyone knows how to make studying more easier? For example: If studying on marketing subject, there will be elaborations and key points to relate to the question asked. However, I am bad in memorising and understanding, I wanted to know some methods on improving it to make the study better and i will remember it for life and not for the sake of studying. It should be able to apply on real life concept. I know of memories like using the First letter of each words to memorise the key points. Just that the understanding on it is bad, it will be difficult to relate and worst to write an essay for it.. Oh my!! So, anyone have any ideas on improving memory for essay and not solely based on points form?

Mod Note: I moved this to Personal Effectiveness, as it doesn't seem to specifically relate to the PDSP book.

Default Memorization Skill

There are many ways to improve our memorization skill.Commonly, students use "mnemonic" to remember information.Anyway,"mnemonic" is too common and I think you've known it before."Mnemonic" has a few branches such as acronym, acrostic etc. but it doesn't help entirely.Other than that, you can also try the "Pmemory" course. You can view its website and try to read the testimonials,I'm sure you'll be intrested(you can download the manual too if you want)."Paul Scheele-Photoreading"course will be a great choice too.Try any of those courses. All the best!

This won't help you much for memorizing math or
science equations but for most else it works great -

In college I recorded my notes on an audio-cassette
player and then listened to the recordings while doing
anything that didn't require my focused attention -
brushing my teeth, walking to class, etc. There's
plenty of dead time in most people's days.

After you hear it play 3-4 times you know - it's like
listening to a song and you anticipate what's said
next.

I was a straight A student in college and that was
my biggest secret to success.

And it sounds like mind mapping is an essential skill
for you to possess. It's simple - just start doing
it. I mind map everything new that I learn now.

Here's one that might be of interest (there are free
maps for a variety of items that might be helpful to
you)

BTW, pencil and paper work great - you don't need
a software app to make a mind map (and there are
free ones available)

If this is about college or even high school studies, you must have missed my article along with video on college study skills. Take a look as it might help you.

Good luck
